|DerekM||I've been happy with the performace of my KM2's off road and on road. I did hit some standing water this past weekend and it almost scared the s%$# outta me. But I survived so I am happy with the BFG.|

|rubicon05||My buddys tread wright's just came in. For recaps they dont look to bad, They did a very nice job. The tread looks like the old MTR pattern. There on BFG all terrain carcasses. For 31x10.50s there almost as big as my 33s.|

|MCAD135||Love my MTZs. Not loud and great offroad. Plus for $170 a tire it cant be beat. Not as heavy as the kevlar tires for obvious reasons|

|mopardan97||I love my interco trxus mts. they do well offroad and they dont seem to loud on the road and in my opinion they ride pretty good. unfortunately all i have to compare them too are the old bfg mts. i have around 20000 on them already and they look just barely worn. for my next tires i was thinking about getting a set of good years for a highway tire but i had some silent armors on my truck when i bought it and they barely lasted me 20000 miles so im hesitant to buy goodyear again....any similar experience with duratracs or the mtr kevlars|

As for the noisy tires, seriously these new MT/Rs are really quiet, I can only hear a little roar in a sharp curve. I bet your right about your set, I ran my 31" KM2s on my LJ after I lifted it 2.5" without an alignment for roughly 1k and the fronts were really starting to feather. I put them on my TJ, fronts off the LJ to the back of the TJ...ran them for 800 miles or so and now their back on the LJ. The wheel shakes at 50, my LJ has since been aligned by a shop so it was my fault for jacking up my tires, my toe was way off after the lift but I didn't know that at the time, WF is such an educator! I don't believe that rebalancing the tires will do any good in my case, It's not bad so I'll take the shake and consider it a lesson learned!

There as many "right" answers to this question as there are Jeepers--that being said it depends on what you do/type of driving overall-how much less tread life-or less"manners" or wear are you willing to put up with? The company that finally figures out how to make the best tire at everything (on road/off road/ mud /rocks/snow/rain/and highway life) will have more demand than they can supply.
Most people like the BFG's for the road and a little light wheeling-(that's me) but I have never heard anyone bad mouth the Duratracs for their cost to use ratio.-and I THINK the Duratracs are better off road. From what I hear.

|Jerry Bransford||My TJ doesn't wander with my MT/Rs, perhaps your toe-in or Caster angle is not within in spec. I had heard the newer series of kevlar MT/Rs were supposed to be quieter than my two previous sets of the older non-kevlar MT/Rs but they're definitely a lot louder, I wear ear plugs for long trips. I got them when they had about a thousand miles on them so perhaps the previous owner jacked them up with a bad toe-in setting for a while. They don't look like they are worn unusually so I don't know why they are much louder than I expected.|

|Jerry Bransford||You can only pry my kevlar reinforced Goodyear MT/R tires off my wheels when I am dead and rigor mortis has set in. They're definitely not the quietest, longest wearing, toughest looking, or most expensive tire out there but they kick ass on the rocks and in the toughest trail conditions imaginable.|

|Phil05LJ||I have BFG KM2s on my LJ, 31", they work great off-road and handle well on pavement but they are a bit loud, not obnoxious though. I also have 33" Goodyear MT/R Kevlars on my TJ. They also work well off-road and are actually very quiet on pavement but it seems like the sidewall flex on the road at 28 psi makes it a little "twitchy" from side to side. I'd say they ride is harsh with the Goodyears, not so much with the BFGs. The Goodyears work much better on wet flooded roads than the BFGs, the BFGs tend to hydra-plane worse on standing water at 45mph+. The last time I checked, both BFG and GY 33" tires are on national back order, again.|

What are your favorite type of tires?
I have a 4" lift and i am runnin 285/75r16 Wild Country XTX Sport All Season tires which do okay but I want to upgrade to something with a more aggressive tread. I have popped 3 of these tires (seperate occasions) and they just do not seem to help up well. What are some of your top tires that you guys like? i like to do some crawlin, muddin, and just a little bit of everything. any suggestions?
those are the tires i have now^^^
