IndyJeepMan If you don't mind spending the $145. The JKS quicker disconnects are about as rugged as you can get and they are adjustable for more height later down the road!

It sucks to hear these problems, but once again another reason I love WF.. the companies chirp in and get real world information on their stuff!

Also after screwing the zirks in far enough so they wouldn't simply fall out they were chewing into the loose fitting bushes. The bushes were fitted so loose that trying to grease them resulted in the grease simply oozing out right where the zirks are. I was very disappointed and my local supplier took them back without question. I did keep the rear axle mounted track bar lift bracket - that is a great design and I am very happy with it!

I replaced the QD's with a set from synergy/poly performance. Very happy with them.

The bolts that you remove are only around the 55 to 75 foot lb from memory.

Rich331MX Oops, I meant if the zerk fittings would hit anything if I did not use a quick disconnect kit...

Rich331MX Hey everyone,

I recently left the drag racing world to play off-road. I was going to order this kit, but don't understand if the QD zerk fittings would hit or rub if I just order a regular 1-3/4 spacer kit with the sway bar link extensions and bolts that come with the kit?

dustyc I have read other post that indicate I'm not the only one to have this issue with Teraflex bushings. Guess I should look at other options myself.

SeaComms Six months? Damn... I have had the Poly's on now since December (so 7 months and about 8,000 km) and they are still as tight to remove as they day they were installed.

Not only no sign of wear but no sign of even loosening off from the original install.

I think the Teraflex guys need to look at the compound being used in the bushes.

dustyc FWIW, I just put my Teraflex leveling kit on about 6 months ago. Didn't see any issues with the zerk fittings or play in the bushings, but... After getting back from Colorado this past week I went to do my normal maintenance stuff when I noticed the bushings were disintegrating. I put a new set on today. See pics.

2010WranglerMountain oh, and no quick disconnects in this kit...they give you a couple bolts to secure the sway bar links.

2010WranglerMountain QD is "quick disconnect" ...they are so you can disconnect your sway bar links to get more articulation out of your front end...I've had my kit on for a few weeks now and haven't had a problem...as far as it being changed, I've heard nothing.

nicolas-eric What does QD mean?
Are there real quick disconnects in this levelling kit?

Is the problem with these QD links solved?
Or will I have the same Problem after buying this kit?

SeaComms Hey thanks for your response - its nice to see manufacturers responding. I must admit I was a little disappointed but the local supplier down here assured me thats how the links should be, but it just didnt seem right to me. For info's sake these were from late last year, round November or so in Australia. Feel free to contact me via PM if they want any details, happy to help.

I did keep the rear axle mounted trackbar bracket I bought at the same time - love it

Leveling kits

I was all set on ordering the Teraflex 2" leveling kit because it included the swaybar links.

After reading a few threads, Im not so sure now.

A couple questions:

1. The kit lifts the front 2", the 2.5" BB lift kit includes shock and bumpstop extensions. So why is a shock and bumpstop extension not needed for a 2" lift, but is needed for a 2.5" lift? That last 1/2" must be hell.

2. Those swaybar end links look very light duty. What is the length needed for the 2" leveling kit? I have a great welder living down the street. Any reason why I couldnt have him cut mine in half and weld on a sleeve to lenghten them?

TeraFlex Thank you for posting these concerns and video about our swaybar links. I forwarded this thread onto upper management here and now TeraFlex is looking into improving these.

SeaComms Yep, thats how mine were. When I sent the email to my supplier he didnt seem overly surprised at what I was telling him, in fact seemed to indicate a lot of people like the extra freeplay as it softens the onroad ride.. !!!! WTF???

Na, that much slop and the design of the zirk setup in a brand new bush was enough for me to say no thanks. That video I linked to was from before the vehicle left the driveway, just installed both sides and was looking at it thinking you have to be kidding me. Then did some research and strangely found no else complaining of the same problem, but quite a few complaining the bushes didnt last to long (as in at least a set a year)

2010WranglerMountain it seems like mine would do the same thing...they seem to have a lot of play and they haven't even been on the vehicle yet

Teraflex QD link question...?

I just got my Teraflex Leveling kit in the mail and after opening the box (at work cause I couldn't wait till I got home) I find that the grease zerks at each end of the QD Links come in contact with the rubber bushings on the inside and that's just when they are in finger tight and you can still see a thread or two showin.......

So, is this suppose to be this way?

If this is a dumb question please forgive me for my ignorance
Also, does anyone know what the torque specs are for the components that I'm going to have to remove/replace?
