|Mikiec||Texas does not have a fender law, but they do have a law on how far your tires can stick out. I am not sure what the distance is, but it is either 41/2" or 6".|

|deathphoenix99||^Glad to hear that, I had the doors and top off of the jeep this past weekend and no side mirrors obviously. But I had the center mirror and checked cautiously before changing lanes and turning. I plan to do it again this weekend.|

the wording on the mirrors is:
the vehicle must have one rearward viewing mirror
it doesn't specify if its outside or windshield mounted so when i pull my doors, i don't mess with putting mirrors on anywhere since the rear view on the windshield is good.
as you can tell, i have read into some of this

|clear lake jeepn||No side mirror laws either....but there is a turn around and look over your shoulder law!|

that link is giving some bad info on the steering system. texas does have a law about the steering system, i found out when i tried to get a vehicle inspected with a mod to the power steering system.
if your vehicle came with power steering from the factory, it must retain the system for inspection. (it does not have to work though)

|Scout||There are no tire coverage laws in Texas. Enjoy!|

|97greenhornet||I've cut mine narrower to look like flat fenders and mine passes inspection every year. I still have the sidemarker lights though and that's mainly what counts. Even if you build or install flat fenders, make sure you at least have some kind of LED light on the front and side of the fenders as was originally equipped. Unless you go to Bobby jo's tire shop to get your rig inspected.|

|deathphoenix99||I see plenty of jeeps without fender flares, I see plenty of trucks with short and wide tires as well. I don't think Texas really cares about that, at least not Houston.|

Fender law in Texas?
I guess Texas doesn't have a law against no fenders?
Texas Lift Laws | Vehicle Modification Rules
How many of you are riding with no fender flares or with steel flat fenders?
