Owen_TJ i just meant top it off lol...its gonna be a mess up there i'm sure which sucks to run out. A friend opted to use beer on one of our wheeling trips when he ran out...foams a lot out of the nozzles.

i'll shoot you a text when i get to the station if you're not already there...
05-21-2011 09:22 PM
topher38 why the washer fluid and im already full on it.
so i will run but subway then we will hit the trails =)

and since i put my top on yesterday i get to play in the mudd
05-21-2011 09:18 PM
Owen_TJ sure, doesnt matter to me...i doubt i'll bring her because if i bring one i'd have to bring both...not gonna happen because my girlfriends dog doesnt stay put and likes to walk all over the jeep.

Sounds good...i'm just gonna bring pizza, that way i dont have to worry about keepin it cold or gettin anything on the way down there. I still have 4 slices of meat lovers pizza from yesterday so i'll be good to go.

Make sure to top off your washer fluid before you leave...
05-21-2011 09:12 PM
topher38 i say bring her and just let her out where its semi dri and put an old sheet or towls over your seats. and just an fyi im bringing two friends they are both riding im my rig but just so you kno.

and i planned on meeting up at the gas station then heading over to the sub way to get lunch for later on in the day is that chill?

Sweet, I was out there on July 4 2003. Got pics from up there and that climb to the top sucked but worth it in the end.

Mortalis5509 Hey guys, mount baldy yall are talking about can you hike up that?I went to philmount scout ranch back in 2003 and we did a MT. Baldly out there. Great times. 70 miles or so in 11 days of hiking. If we are speaking of the same one than that's pretty cool that it can be driven up to. GA doesn't have all the good stuff like yall have.

I would love to move out that way sometime soon.
05-21-2011 07:25 PM
topher38 ahhh what a lamo =(

owell we will have fun with out you.
7/11 it is
05-21-2011 07:22 PM
immarkshy i need to get some bills paid off and its an hour and a half drive for me but im definently down in the future, im gonna go check out some trails in boulder its a lot closer to me and look more challenging. plus i still need to get my registration done but ill def hit you up in the future bout goin
05-21-2011 07:20 PM
Owen_TJ Maybe 80 in gas for you guys lol...i'll maybe go through 40...with the roundtrip to the springs lol

Alright, 7/11 it is! Unless mark goes...which he should...i see no reason why not...
05-21-2011 07:15 PM
topher38 yea mark comon its what 80 in gas? not to bad

just do the 7/11 unless mark wants to come we can do the other one

today when i was driving some lady in a pos mustang started honking at me ones the light turned green like it was maybe green for three seconds before she honked so i was nice enough to drive 35 in a 65 then honk at her when she turned. like i see my self as a pretty descent driver but if you ride my ass or piss me off your gonna hate me.

sounds good to me man
05-21-2011 07:08 PM
Owen_TJ Why cant you go, Mark? Its only a little gas to get down there n back...no other money needed! Cmon...you know you wanna!

I'm game for whatever place you wanna meet...i dont know one from the other so just let me know which one you wanna go to.

As for the driving...just wanna add another incident to the "colorado cant drive" book...

Was goin to walmart quick to return a can of paint i didnt need...ambulance was comin up behind me so i pulled over...the car behind me honked and flipped me off that i didnt continue going. Like, really?

I'm gonna print off the trail directions for bull park so we can find it...hopefully...
05-21-2011 05:59 PM
topher38 Yes Colorado ppl suck at driving it's so bad.

And thanks for the tip

I really don't care which gas station we use. I just kno my way to the 711
05-21-2011 05:35 PM
immarkshy not to confuse you guys but there is a gas station right off of I-25 where i stopped last time to get gas before headin up, its litterally on the road to get to the trail head cant remember the name. found it... just an option have fun tomorrow guys, wish i had more money to come

Owen_TJ No problem...and no i dont have an atlas, i'll see if i can find the starting point on google and then just find it on my gps as a cross street or something.

People in colorado cant drive...its incredible lol. Stuff i've seen here since i moved from iowa blows my mind that people actually have a license in this state lol

Oh yeah...kinda forgot about that. I had forgotten all about it since i first heard it way back when...then someone reminded me yesterday...idiots
05-21-2011 05:14 PM
topher38 Ok kool man. If you get there before me just text or call me. It's about a 30minute drive from my house give or take depending on traffic and how dumb people drive.

Do you have an atlas or anything. Cuz I have no clue where the trail start for bull park is.

P.s. Aren't you glad we all died in the rapture that was suppose to happen 15 mins ago
05-21-2011 04:36 PM
Owen_TJ I'd assume so haha...

oh well, we'll go as far up as we can!

I'm lookin forward to both trails...

Got the address....and as weird as it sounds, i actually picked that one before you gave me the address just to get an idea of how long it would take haha. I figured it was close to the foot hills and i'd just use it as a good estimate...turns out that was the one you were actually talkin about!

Anyway, it'll only take me about an hour to get there...quotes me at 1 hour 9 minutes
05-21-2011 04:17 PM
topher38 So I'm looking at the close to the top of baldy right now (on the back side of the mountain so can't see it) and it
Might have a good amount of snow up there
05-21-2011 04:09 PM
Owen_TJ I very much doubt you can fit them with just 4.5 lift and flat fenders...you wont have any room for flexing and you'll rub at full turn for sure.

I bet you could run 35's with the 4.5 lift and the flatty's though with enough room for flex.

I'm in the same boat, man haha...
05-21-2011 03:56 PM
topher38 oh really i was told that a my 3.5 inch lift and a 1 inch body would house them just fine with flat fenders ( thats on my list to i must have forgot them) but who knows at this point in time im broke and cant seem to find any money trees in the forest so looks like im staying where im at
05-21-2011 03:42 PM
Owen_TJ Good deal, i'll map it out and see what the time estimate is...

And i dont wanna ride because i wanna paint a few things on the jeep today and just kinda relax. Its my first saturday i didnt have to work the morning in awhile.

You're not going to be able to fit 37's on with just a 4" suspension lift and 1" body lift (if thats what you have) especially without flat fenders...

You'll need a minimum of about 7" lift to clear 37's...so add a new suspension, SYE, CV shafts, and a few other things to the list if you dont already have them. You might be able to stuff 37's on with 5" lift and cutting your fenders way up

heres a link to 35/37's if you havent already checked it out

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f115/je...7-a-87964.html

In my opinion, 35's are all that are needed for pretty much anything...and i'd regear to probably 5.38 if i were gonna run 35's

here ya go
05-21-2011 02:27 PM
topher38 im looking it up right now. gimmi 5 mins.

why dont you wanna ride, its through the mountains and they are always fun to go through whether its bike or car.

my next investments are... from first to last. new bumpers and rock guards, then 1 inch body lift, new shocks mine are kinda old, 37 inch tires, d44 for the front since i have one in back, near gear ratio (not sure what size yet) and a set of ARB front and rear lockers
05-21-2011 02:22 PM
Owen_TJ Sweet...dont have to ride anymore...

i'm gonna tint my lights right now...possibly going to paint my hardtop as well but still need to figure out how to get my top off and lifted upstairs...too damn heavy for one person that's only 5'8
05-21-2011 02:07 PM
Owen_TJ nah, i know i wont for either but i just wanna get it if i can find a deal on it.

The next few parts on the list are a new cat, oil pan skid, rocker guards, and front bumper.

I dont wanna go ride but i promised i would so i kinda have to now...oh well

So, have an address of the 7/11 yet?
05-21-2011 02:00 PM
topher38 oh i see haha.
have fun on your ride.

and you want need and oil skid for baldy i kno that for sure but not sure about bull park
