|overthehillsahara||I haven't had any problem while driving but I have failed inspection in NJ for not having covers on my lightbar lights and having rock gaurds on my head lights.|

|89cherokeeon35s||If I can remember right. The law states only 4 "offroad" light allowed on a vehicle. Covered by the given cover while on roads. But like c.l. said not something they are looking for|

Doubtful. It's possible that that is one of those "on the books" laws that noone follows though. I see auxiliary lights all over the place with brush guards on them. I've got bars over my main headlights and have never been harassed about it. I've also been tailed by a cop up rt.46 for about 3 miles with no doors or mirrors on; he couldn't have cared less.
Now if you get pulled over for something ELSE, they may tack on extra charges for the little stuff... but i doubt anyone would make a fuss about just the lights.

Hella 500ff nj laws
I bought a set of Hella 500ff and I am mounting them on the windshield. One of the people at the shop told me that I have to have the full plastic covers and canít have the stone shield like this one.
