No - not too tough at all. But a second set of hands is nice.

A floor jack and good drill bits are what you really need. And someone to get you fresh beer so you don't have to get up.

tiny terror I know how to use spray paint, too. I just happen to have a couple guns in different sizes and the ability to do something off the wall. Wider spray, less likely to get drips... not that I care.

Hell, I'll call next week and see about the wait. If it's too long, I'll see if Rock-it Man will float me some in bare. I want to be able to touch them up here and there..... or make them any color I want

1BLKJP Tiny he has a point. You are now going to have to repaint your entire renegade kit. I rattle can all my shite too. Brand new look costs about 4.89.

Jim Schrock puts out smokin product, I've just heard lately he is having a hard time keeping up with demand between the TJ and JK markets.

I know, I looked at Rock-it's. You know when you get yourself set on something? Shrockworks were the ones I picked out a year ago and just never got. Rock-it's are cool as hell but I wanted bare so I could paint them and I didn't see that option.
I'm fairly positive that Chris would have made you a non-powder coated set, but that's ok. I've beat on my Shrockworks ones for a year and a half and have been happy with what they've taken so far!
Also, I just rattle-canned mine. I did that thinking that "hey, when they get scratched, I can just touch them up!". Well, they've been scratched, but I have yet to touch them up! Guess I like the battle scars?

EDIT: By the way, I think the skulls, though cool, would clash with the sparkley paint of your Xenon body kit parts. Maybe the flames will help to offset that though.

Actually, I was thinking of airbrushing some skulls along them in different shades of dark grey and black. Just for fun.

Are they tough to put on Eric??
I have the Shrockworks sliders (they were a birthday gift from a friend, otherwise I'd have gone with the Rock-it Man's ) They're not too difficult to install at all. Make sure you have a floor jack to hold the slider in place while you're drilling/bolting it in place.

Did you get them in bare steel or have them powder coated?

Scout Damn. The tile business must be good these days.

(it's the tiles I do, Scout, not the mugs )

emills Awesome - you'll be happy with all that.

When you get the Shrockworks, drop me a line if you need any help getting them on.

Talk to JonnyXcore. He can help you out with that.

So what kind of rock rings did you get? And where ever you got them from did they tell you that the Shrockworks stuff was available?

tiny terror Oh course not, sheesh. I need to get all new rims because I wanked them all up on the rocks. Something big and shiny. Chrome. Yeah.

1BLKJP Probably a good thing. Everything I put on my jeep gets scratched to hell and you wouldn't want it to look like you wheeled.
08-24-2007 05:14 PM
tiny terror Remind me never to ask your advice when I'm looking for new mods.
08-24-2007 05:11 PM
1BLKJP No, I actually think I have poop on my hood.
08-24-2007 04:58 PM
tiny terror It's the same one you have on your hood, Jack.
08-24-2007 04:37 PM
1BLKJP What the scratch and sniff kitty sticker that smells like poop?
08-24-2007 04:27 PM
tiny terror I ordered some rockrings for my diffs, shrockworks rockers, sparkly side panels and glittery flares. Thinking about a steering box skid now and a kitten decal for the hood. Or a bumper....
08-24-2007 04:11 PM
1BLKJP Okay TT, you blew the game in the other thread about ordering stuff. Whatcha get?
08-24-2007 11:34 AM
