|lorenfriedel||Turbo diesel! That sounds really worth waiting for. I had some issues with my past Jeeps at higher speeds on the highway and it didn't handle sudden breaking without fishtailing. I had to take a little lead out of my accelerator foot! Thanks for the reply. You are the first person I've actually meet who owns the diesel. I have the tendency to jump at buying the things I like, although they might be new and relatively untested. This time, I have to wait since the wrangler is not sold here in morocco yet. I'm wondering too if I should buy it overseas, maybe in France, and bring it here? I need to look into the logistics and expenses of that and whether they will be capable of reparing it at the Jeep dealer here if something goes wrong? Thanks again for the response. Enjoy your diesel, I'm jealous!|

I have the 2.8 CRD and have owned it for 5 months now. It's a turbo diesel and I regularly get 28mpg (UK Gallons). The 302lbs/ft torque means it pulls like a train. I can cruise at 80mph quite comfortably from the 174bhp engine.
Any questions you have I'd be happy to try and answer for you.

Newbee living in morocco seeking Input on the diesel wrangler
I just found the wrangler forum. How cool is this. I am a 2 time past wrangler owner in the states, but I'm now living in morocco. I am looking to buy a car and I just can't get my mind off my a wrangler. Sadly though, they don't sell wranglers here yet. Most cars here are diesels because diesel is so much cheaper here than regular gas. I heard that jeep has introduced a diesel version of the wrangler in Europe. It's hugely expensive! Rumor has it that jeep might be importing the diesel wrangler here in morocco by the end of this year. Has anyone heard anything about the performance of the diesel model? Any advice? Thanks!
