New future owner
Thank you all for such a great site. I've been poking around awhile reading some posts here and there. I am purchasing a 4-door in October and thanks to your post it seems like a pretty good Jeep. My first car was a jeep, a '72 DJ to be exact. I'm sure someone here is savvy enough to know what the DJ models were. It had a metal floor, no passenger seat, no rear seat, no a/c, manual steering and brakes(yikes). I paid $800 for that little jem. It has now been 15 years since I have owned another jeep and that is long enough. Since I have 2 small boys we are going with the 4 door and since my play money goes into my motorcycle, I probably won't be dumping the money into lift kits and 50" bucky beaver ground grabbers but alot of you on this forum seem fine with a few of us stock jeep owners around.
