NJJeep Yea, the ole Sahara exhaust will stay stock. Even though the 40 didn't sound ricer. I'm trying to keep interested with this jeep, but I keep missin my GTO & G8. The jeep is sooo much more practical.

El Gringo I have a Flowmaster 40 on mine and sounds awesome, with the 4 door you could even mount it under the drivers side rear floor and run dual pipes muffler back at any good shop and it will sounds amazing. I put up a video of mine on youtube, but they sound better in person, there is almost no real comparison.

Not mine, but here is a 4 door with mid mount muffler.

JeeperJake there's tons of buzzy little ricer rockets running around my town....they all seem to think sounding like that is some kind of achievement. No offense intended, I like deep mellow tones myself but am unwilling to install something this early in the service cycle. My 08 Sahara just barely turned 21000 miles and I have other places to spend the money.

In my buddies first jeep in 1960 (a 45 CJ2) he ran a straight flexible pipe off the manifold for a while after the original muffler rotted off.

Loud, annoying, bothered the neighbors and his parents enough they finally agreed to pay to put something quiet on it.

NJJeep I've always changed my exhaust. But with the jeep, it will stay stock. I don't want the ricer exhaust sound on my 4X4. I miss my G8 a little. :-O.

rics1997 I am pretty sure that if you don't have some type of back pressure from an exhaust the Jeeps computer will dis-own you.

navret i have not added a single mod to my jeep and won't until kids are out college, so take this for what it is worth. my opinion, borla is a great system, but i would hate to spend big bucks on something that can get easily damaged on the trails. jeeps,to me, are about capability off road, not sounding like a sports car. i would put my money into mods for protection and capability. remember, my opinion only, not trying to flame or looking to get flamed by anyone.

2008 exhaust

i have a borla exhaust system on my rubicon 4 door. although it is a beautiful system, i dont like the way my jeep sounds which muffler will make it louder and, what about a straight pipe sound does anyone have a suggestion to get the jeep louder
