|ookxtreme||like many others....great luck with satin black krylon here.... heck i did them when they were still on the jeep... i know i know, it's best to take them off and do it the right way...|

I did Krylon Fusion Satin Black and it turned out great.. Even help up well when a Moron in a Lexus hit me.
Here are some pics both before and after.
As for prep.. wash all teh crap of with soap and water... Then wash the entire thing again with Mineral Spirits and keep it handy. If you streak when applying use mineral spirits immediately to remove and try again.

I'm going to try DupliColor Satin Black Wheel Coating this weekend. Might be a little more durable.... we shall see.

|Tj Bunch||I like the satin black. the Ultra Flat is too flat they look more weathered or sun burned.|

If you just want them nice and black again use a heat gun or propane torch to heat em up, off the jeep of course and don't get too frisky with the propane either.
Otherwise herculine works well.

|lost||btw alot of the paint has rubed off on the front flare right above the tire|
|08-23-2007 11:13 PM|
the red jeep is the ultra flat black
and my jeep(yellow) has satin black flares.
its not the best picture but the best one I had where you can see the flares

|Dare2BSquare||Paint em RED.|

|Triple88a||How about just using primer if you dont want it to be shiny?|
|08-23-2007 09:13 PM|
actually, my first choice would be krylon fusion "ultra Flat" black
heres what it looks like
just make sure you prep VERY good or you'll be redoing them in a couple months
|08-23-2007 09:08 PM|
|lost||black satin krylon fusion looks very nice on flares... not too shiny and not too dull|
|08-23-2007 07:46 PM|

What color Krylon Fusion paint for fender flares?
Im thinking flat black would be too....well.....flat. and i surely dont want gloss. What has anyone else used? LIke a satin or semi gloss?
and does it seem to hold up well?
