WhiteSandsJeep Exactly...Everything just adds up. You can get away with the long arm and nothing else for now but you will need to get an SYE, driveshaft, brake lines and dicos. To remotely use your new LA's.

WhiteSandsJeep Don't get me wrong, I currently am sitting on A 4" RC lift but I would have saved my money. Now I am waiting till I have enough to get what I want. In the end it is to each their own. I do admit uprading to RC's LA kit will be a dramatic handling difference in a good way. No matter how you look at it, going Long Arm is opening a door to having to spend at least 2K.

just4fun I run alot of black and reds trails at rausch creek with my rough country kit and its fine just a little rock rash on the lower control arms. and just got back from big dogs in gore va wiith out a problem. My lift has been on for over a year and I have been off road at least 9 times. I grease it and inspect it before and after I wheel it and I don't need spend 3k on a lift cause it has a name like currie or rock krawler cause they break too. I guess im lucky with my lift or that rc got this set up right.if I could do it over I will go with the 4" lift and not the 6 its abit top heavy

Ibuildembig Nothing wrong with the RC arms as they use the ame tubing and joints as the currie and everyone else uses. The main difference is one end has a bushing instead of johnnys on both. I run my truggy prolly harder than 90 percent of the jeepers on this site and I have yet to have an issue.

WhiteSandsJeep Then I would either go with the upgrade, or a currie short arm kit which would be even better. Heres a Link nevermind that it says cj it is for tj.

WhiteSandsJeep Save your money and do it right especially if you plan on being aggressive with it. Rough Country will not hold up to serious off roading there is a reason it is so cheap, you get what you pay for. Now if you are only going to do mild terrain and use it as a DD then go for the rough country upgrade.

not4hire I also have the Rough Country long arm upgrade.. It has been real good to me..Ride is better than short arms..The price was right for what I needed in new arms..I have Rubicon Express 3.5" lift..

just4fun I have the rough country 6" long arm kit on my jeep and love. Its been on over a year and I wheel the hell out of it. The 2.2 shocks are a bit stiff but all in all a good lift. Also rough country sells just the long arm upgrade kit check out the web site

good LA conversion

who makes a fairly priced Long Arm conversion kit? shopping around right now, but want to pull the trigger end of summer. i know rock krawler has one. but its like 1900. ehhh
