john yerby i think that the handle is the problem just wondering if anybody has replaced them. j.c. whittney sells them for 28.00 part # 3065G for my jeep. i have found no info, checked old posts, looked on line and even checked my manual?

zero_chance Having ruled out all the obvious, my first guess would have been the multi function switch itself. On mine, if I use the turn signals and then push it back to the neutral position manually, my left brake light wont work until I jiggle the handle. If I use the turn signals and have it come back on its own after making a turn, it works fine. So the switches can definitely cause some funky problems. Though I have to admit, your symptoms sound an awful lot like when my flasher died (the round part on the fuse box.) I would try a heavy duty one see if it makes a difference. Let us know what you find.

john yerby my yj does not have tilt. thanks

JP_SATX Do you have a tilt steering wheel? I had an F-150 where the turn signals and hazards would not work if the steering wheel was pulled down. I know that's not a jeep but I dunno... Just trying to help.

john yerby i replaced my turn signal switch a few weeks ago on my 93 yj. now i think the problem is the lever where it pivots inside. i also posted and got no responses guess i don't have enough posts or nobody knows, and yes i did check old posts first. if i only wanted to add a sub woofer?

YJ Turns Signals are intermittent

I have a 1990 YJ and the turns signals are working intermittently. Well really they rarely work, but sometimes come on for about 10 seconds and then stop working again.

I have checked all the fuses and replaced the little gray cylinder above the fuse box. I have checked and replaced all the bulbs.

Also, when I push in the hazard button all the lights blink like they are supposed to. However the button doesn't work probably, as the hazards will not stay on, as soon as I let go of the button the flashers stop.

Any idea on what else I can look at our do?
