Wow, that is a great shot showing what an east coast vehicle looks like.
I do not have that rust problem in the southwest.
How much of your maintenace is caused by rust.

I don't know about the fenders, but I have a fiberglass hood. The paint likes to crack because it flexes alot more than steel. Also, If a rock thrown up hits it just right, it'll knock a hole in it.
I'm not overly fond of the fiberglass. I know that I would be much happier with steel.

What did you do about your fenders?

|whiteyj||That would be an interesting look on the YJ. Kind of grows on me the more I stare at it.|

I guess it would depend on what you use your jeep for. Fiberglass fenders don't mix well with rocks. By the looks of what I assume you are looking at in JC Whitney it will cost you about 270 or so for the replacement fiberglass fenders. Have you thought of taking a look at something like the Poison Spyder tube fenders? Just a quick look at 4wd.com put them at like 400 for your application.

My front fenders are starting to rust through and iw ant to replace them before I put plates on my Jeep and pull it out of the garage. its a 95 YJ. I think im going to order fiberglass fenders out of JC Whitney for replacements and have them painted the same color as the Jeep. Anyone else have any fiberglass fenders n have any info or complaints about them? I figure they will be less likely to dent up and I wont have to worry about rust.
