A fellow Kansan

Welcome duner440, I'm a little closer to your area. I grew up south of Horton, and now live just west of Atchison. Welcome to the forum.

duner440 Yeah, I have had several atvs. I ride on dunes all over the U.S. I just recently sold my Yamaha Banshee. I wanted to start on this Jeep project so I can have my family with me. I want to have it done for the spring hopefully. Then I will start on another atv project. Do you ride?

duner440 Is that your piece of dookey in your sig there? Yeah, that thing is a pile!
08-28-2007 02:31 PM
MR.CLIFFORD Absolutely. Spectating is free. I'm hoping to make it there in my piece o' dookey.
08-28-2007 01:17 PM
duner440 Thanks for the link Simple Scout. Are spectators allowed? Unfortunately my project will not be ready for it! I've been out there several times but I have never been there for an event.

Scout Welcome to the forum. That's sounds like one helluva project!

Your neighbor will be checking in shortly. I think he can give you some guidance in that build.

Newbie from Kansas.

Just wanted to say hi and drop a line on my project. I bought a 2000 Wrangler Sahara Edition tub and frame only. The frame was bent from the accident that it was in so it will be scrapped. I bought a 1995 Wrangler rolling chassis to replace it. I am building a rock crawler and I wanted to go somewhat inexpensive for the suspension and that is why I wanted a YJ frame. Plans are to have a locked Dana 60 front end, locked corporate 14 rearend, small block Chevy with fuel injection, full cage, suspension seats, hydraulic assist steering, Hummer H1 double beadlock wheels with 44" tires, th400 trans, and front and rear stinger bumpers.
