Jerry Bransford I wouldn't bother or pay more for arms that can be adjusted with a center turnbuckle-like section. It just adds cost and the really good control arms are not made that way anyway. All you have to do is disconnect one end to adjust their length and then you normally only have to do it once unless you make a dramatic change to the rear end.

Adjustable control arms

So, has anyone out there turned their stock arms into adjustable using a kit?

Phil05LJ ^^^ That's a better explanation. Good point about the jam nuts, use Loctite thread locker on them.

Think of a turn-buckle.... One side is standard threads (right). And the other is left handed threads. As you twist the arm after loosening the jam nuts , the apposing threads will lengthen or shorten the arms. Make sure you lock down those jam nuts!

Those look real good, lifetime warranty too. I've never seen them in person, perhaps they adjust similar to a tie rod by turning the body of the arm...just a guess.
How did those lower replacement bushings you ordered work out?

UnlimitedLJ04 Rokmen makes great arms.

idahonetto It is my understanding that someone does in fact manufacture control arms that can be adjusted after installation - I just don't know who it is. Perhaps this unknown technology doesn't exist! Thanks!!!!

IndyJeepMan You can adjust any control arms after installation. They all use inner threads so you have to spin the joint to increase or decrease length. I'd go with the Rokmen arms.

They way to adjust them is to jack the vehicle up, set the pinion angle and have the axle placed where it should be, then adjust the control arms till they are long or short enough then tighten down the jam nut then place them in the mount and bolt them in..

Nature of the beast, unless there is some unknown technology for adjustment while on the vehicle attached both ends..

Looking to purchase adjustable rear upper control arms that can be adjusted AFTER installation. Any recommendations?
