On our 97, it's on/off, on/off, on/off very fast, then back to on.
Then you wait a couple of seconds, the odometer will blank out, and you'll get a code, then the odometer comes back on for a few, then the next code pops up, and so on.

BradahJeep I ask because I tried turning the key on and off and on and off and on. Do I have to start the jeep the whole way up first? I got nothing.

97 4.0 with 5 speed

Check engine light

I know it's posted but I just bought my 97 4.0. How do I get it to display the codes?
