Yeah, I've been around those parts... Had water just under my rocker panels on the truck (4x4 F150, leveled, 33's) due to flooding from the river right by the road. I think it was just slightly north and west of North Liberty, near a preserve?

I'm from Washington, the Jeep doesn't make it up to IC/Coralville too often.

If only 600 Acres was still open...

Howdy from Urbandale

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi... Just bought a 2011 Rubicon last Saturday, and stumbled onto this site. I know there's a couple off road clubs in Central Iowa, looking to hook up with them potentially.

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well...

Exactly what I'm looking for. I used to live in Cedar Rapids and we're driving back there for a couple weeks.

McGridDLe Yea, I have only been through there like twice and ended up getting a ticket once for doing 5 over.. they are apparently pretty strict on speeding up there lol
05-09-2010 09:19 PM
roadsuk Yep, Polk City is right beside Saylorville Lake. Nice little town for what it is I suppose.
05-08-2010 01:29 PM
McGridDLe yea it sounds like a blast.. I haven't really had the chance to get off road in the three months that I've owned my jeep, becuase around here it seems like you either have to know someone with land or join a club lol.. but yea both of those sound great i'll def look into it. you live pretty close to saylorville then? or is that even close? lol, i don't know polk city very well.
