|benjamin24||bumper looks awesome, I think its the little tires and the fog lights that makes it look kinda funny. Looks like 8" lights on the tube. When you get some bigger tires it's gonna fill in nicely I bet|

|foxinthemudd||RIP nice work. LET'S SEE THE REAR ONE! and as far as profit margin looks, just take a glance at that stubby bumper that was posted on an earlier thread and how much they're selling it for. cant wait to see how the rear turns out. just make sure you get pics of the process and dimentions.|

|jjseel||Good job! I hope mine turns out half as good! (I could sell it!)|
|09-03-2007 11:38 PM|
|RIPBiker13||I've thought about trying to make more, but it's not easy work. The profit margin is huge though. I made the D-ring tabs myself too. Nothing on that bumper was purchased.|

|AzTJ||Very cool - if you were to make another, I'm sure you could sell it for like $200 or more. I've seen bumpers that look like $10 was spent, and people trying to sell them for $150+. You at least put some good effort into it with the double welded tabs and hoop. Most people wont even put on a loop.|
|09-03-2007 11:31 PM|
|RIPBiker13||I don't know the measurements on the hoop, I did what I thought looked good. The tabs go through, not just welded on. And Rustoleum Hammer Finish Black.|
|09-03-2007 11:25 PM|
|AzTJ||Whats the measurements on that hoop? It looks awfully tall. Are those tabs just welded on the front? Is it a rattle can pain job? Looks good though!|

|GrnTJ||Maybe $100? Tops. It looks sweet though! Nice fab work man. I love doin my own stuff.|

you fab'd that yourself?
and something about that first pic makes your jeep look silly. i cant tell what it is.
I think its the angle. it makes it look like the bumper is lower than the grille by like 6 inches.

|RIPBiker13||Make 2? What would that front bumper be worth to buy on similar to it online? Honestly?|

|RIPBiker13||Wow. Scout being nice to me again!? Thank you. I'm working on a desing for the trie carrier next. That bumper cost me... $30 and 3 days work. And I burned my thumb while welding.|

|Scout||Damn bro that looks good!|

|debruins||the site jjseel put up there is for a yj, so i think the measurement s for the mounts will be off , but everything else will be good|

This has some good ideas, mix and match with others for parts, etc.
I could not believe the price was correct on the "Steves" bumper w/tire carrier, 600 buck more than just the bumper? Has got to be a typo...

Man i remember seing a blueprint somewhere on another forum but i cant find it
here is what i've found so far that might give you some heads up.

building a bumper
I need to know if there are specific dimensions I should know about when building a bumper w/ tire carrier for 35in tire.
I am currently building a front bumper and I used 1/4in flat stock. It's gonna be a tank as far as strength is concerned. I'm looking at using the same material for the back. And also 2in square tube for the carrier.
Any ideas on latching systems and hinges?
