Those are 39" Red Labels, the second set and I wore out the first set. The rig is now on the 40" MT/R K's it's been on for the last two years. I try very hard not to be rough on the rig, but JV is just not very forgiving.
Yes, I realize that everyone likes different stuff but I did not realize that we spent our hard earned money on stuff based on popularity. I tend to spend money on stuff that's got a proven track record with very few failures or wearing out. If I wanted popular, I would run RC joints and replace them every trip.

|Ibuildembig||What I have built myself or the boys I run with? I am not saying they have a crap product because they dont, we have just had better luck with others. We dont run jeeps on 35's either....smallest rig is on 42's with big horsepower, so you can rest assured we are tough on um. Everyone likes different stuff and there's tons of stuff out there. I was just offering an opinion to the OP|

Also, I've seen 3 cases in all the time I've been using, installing and building control arms with the JJ's where the snap ring popped out of the groove. In all 3 cases, the rig was driven back to camp or home where we pulled the arm and reseated the snap ring in the groove and it never came loose again. All of them happened as soon as the arms are put in use which very strongly suggests that they were not seated all the way at Currie. Given the thousands of joints they build, I'm not going to fault them too much for missing the seating on a few joints here and there.
I use the weld on barrels for one end of the arms I build and I've never had a single snap ring pop out of those and I contribute that to me doing the snap ring setting correctly since you have to assemble them after welding.
I do know that we had some fine folks come to visit and spend a week doing the trails in JV with their new rigs they built. They did not use Currie JJ's and were having to tighten up and adjust the joints in their arms daily and were a bit cranky about it. As soon as they got back to OK, they ordered all new Currie JJ's to fix the issue.

I dont have experience with Currie but the Teraflex i have wallowed out where the c clip wont hold the bushing in place.Teraflex sent me a new flex end (for the rear lower control arms) at no charge.
Gotta love good customer support and their lifetime warranty.

And please don't say WON'T EVER because it's very simple to prove you wrong. If you forget the tool that Currie sells for assembling their joints with a couple of wrenches, it takes little more than a couple of sockets appropriately sized with some all thread with nuts and washers to make your own.
As far as looking at Poly Performance, it's funny you should mention that. My Currie Johnny Joints are in the mail from them as we speak. The next batch of 8 for some lower arms I'm building for a customer that probably brings my total of JJ's used over the years to well over 150.
I'm still running the same set of Currie JJ's on my rig that I installed in 00 which very likely means they have been on my rig problem free for longer than the other Joint makers have been in the joint business.
They are also the same joints that have lived through a 150+ trails in JV over the years. I think they've proven themselves and I know for a fact that all of my buds who jumped on the NON Currie JJ bandwagon sincerely regret doing so.
Of course, your mileage may vary.

|Ibuildembig||I have to disagree as the Currie ones are a PITA to assemble and you wont ever do it in the woods. IMO the Ballistic ones are machined better and way easier to assemble. I run one on the frame end of my link and a bushing on the axle end and I have yet to have an issue You might look at Poly Performance as well.|
