I am sorry I am a few months late replying. I have been away from the forum for a while. They were from a 2006 and I added a spacer to the rear mount to rotate the seat forward. I felt like I was leaning back too much.

Will these seats work with an aftermarket center console. I put a smitty built console with a locking stereo compartment and really want new seats but no point in spending the cash if the console wont fit. Let me know what you think!

jakec those look good man. if they were waterproof or if i had a garage to park in, i would definitely get a set.

ItsSabby I have a set of cavalier seats sitting in the garage, may have to look into putting them in the jeep.

bikelash My Cavalier seats bolted right in. And for zero_chance, they bolt to your sliders which will in turn bolt to the floor.

motormike86 My sunfire seats did not bolt right in, I had to make a adapter plate. I did a write up on it if you search the forum for seat swap

zero_chance Do the Sunfire seats bolt to the floor directly or does a peice come off the stock Jeep seats? Never had the seats out so I wasn't sure. Shouldnt be hard to find Sunfire seats at my local place.

Moroney167 Agreed totally best mod yet.

And yea as far as the "weld trust"

Most parts on my Jeep are welded on not to a bolt. And as far as those welds they are going to be way more solid than anything else on my jeep. I trust those more than the old crappy 4 bolts that you put the nuts on through the super cheesie frame that bolts to the floor. My opinion... deal with it. If I get into any accident wit this thing I am sure those welds are the least of my worries I'de be more scared of a million things other than that. Along with the fact the seat belt down not rely on seat bolts.

Anyway... welded up and was done fast they fit and feel great to drive in. Happy I found them. Highly suggested. And wish mine "BOLTED" in as so many others did. I guess the change from 1991-1992 is what changed soemthing. So research showed at least.

Cavalier seats installed!

So. Long story short I got them for $50.00 on craigslist and were very clean and solid no burns or rips. Planned on running my Camo covers anyway ans turned out to fit on those seats way way better. Seats did not at all bolt right up as told of course. I have a 1991 YJ and ended up just doing what is easiest for me. Got the welder out and did what had to be done. Seats are solid after measuring 83618464 times. Welded once.

Right off bat on drive home I LOVE THEM. Holds you way better and feels great. Stock seats were so soft and small. Im only 5'9" 170lbs and they fit like a sports car comparing to stock. I did shim up rear a 1/2" as many said to and feels great. I love getting to recline an change seat some depending driving type. And just turning on my normal roads on way home it was great how it held me. I understand nice seats, and sure all the big dollar seats are great but tell ya what ny nasty hammered YJ DD beater do not deserve them haha. These seats are awesome and only $50 out of pocket an one evening install I have to say best mod since SOA! Few pics I tool during install. Can't tell much before after but seats fit from touching door just a bit to a snug fit w center console.
