|4Jeepn||As Jerry said. waste of money. the slot will over time begin to shave the pad off, even more with the drilled rotors, had some of those on my ZJ.. oh man was that bad. Put a set of autozone rotors and PF pads and so much better. On the TJ make sure you get the correct rotors and there are a couple different sizes out there.|

Absolutely not, they will not help the typical Jeep driver. Slotted, cross-drilled, or dimpled rotors are meant to help off-gas rotors for racing applications. Brakes that are uber-hot from racing applications off-gas and that's what slots, holes, and dimples are added for... to help get rid of the gasses that can reduce pad contact.
For normal driving, especially on a Jeep, they absolutely will not help reduce braking distances. As a matter of fact, the more material that is removed from a rotor by slotting, drilling, dimpling, etc., the hotter the rotor runs due to having less mass to help dissipate heat which can promote rotor warping.
You want the most possible swept surface so at least for a Jeep that is not being used for racing, a solid all-cast rotor will provide both added resistance to warping but the best possible stopping.
About the cheapest thing you can do to obtain a tad better braking performance is with carbon metallic Performance Friction pads like you can find at Autozone.

Power Slot Brake Rotors, Worth The cost?
my jeep is need of rotors and pads comming up here soon and i was wondering if the power slot rotors were worth the extra cost over regular factory discs. by worth the cost i mean, do they resist warping well, also did they help stopping distance any.... just dont wanna drop the extra $$ and get no inprovement in brake performance......
