TjinaTj Does anybody have a 4 RC lift with t-case drop? How much ground clearance are you losing

4x4jeeptj Ive got the rough country n2.0 4" setup on my jeep. Install was fairly easier my first time. Bought an adjustable track bar for the front. Helped a lot. Bought some 35" pro comp xtreme terrain tires. They rub at full turn but besides that its fine. My jeep has no flex at all though now. Very irritating while rock crawling. Havent tried disconnecting my swaybar yet though. And very bumpy ride. If I had money, I would get something else. But you cant beat it for 500 bucks.

TjinaTj Is the kit a fairly complete kit or do you need to by more stuff for the lift to be functional without drive line vibs

turbo93svt oh and by the way with the 1" motor lift i also didnt have to drop the belly skid at all either.

rough country lift

I have this lift on my TJ and i love it, i am using it along with a 1" body lift and 1" motor lift i have had no driveline vibration and i personally dont think the ride is bad at all , it has also allowed me to run 35X12.50 15 bfg at's on 15x10 crawlers. I hope this helps.

Scout I recently installed the Rough Country 4" X-Series lift on my Rubicon and love it. I think the X-Series is the most complete kit for the price with the exception of the adjustable front track bar. That's something you'll definatley need.

It does ride a bit stiff but that is easily corrected by using different shocks. I prefer the stiffer ride so I didn't change mine.

mrbigjeep holy smokes dude...you live in SC too???

anyway...i dont know how to put pics on here but there are pics on www.roughcountry.com and go to www.endlessadventureoffroad.com and go down to the bottom where there is a pull down bar tab thingy and click it and then click rough country x-series lift and go down to the bottom when the screen loads and click performance and there will be a lot of pics!

Mudweiser Seems its different for everyone whether or not you need to do a sye. I just installed the seriesII RC on my 01 TJ and not a single vibe out of the drivetrain. Although i did replace all of the ujoints while i was puttin the lift on.

I have read that MTRs measure out a little smaller than stated. Maybe that's why they clear easily. I also have dana 35 rear axle. I may be flirting with disaster, but my wheeling will be mostly in the mud, no rock crawling. The key is being careful. If I had the bucks, then I would go with Super 35 kit in the rear and locker in the front. I think I ended up paying more for the AA sye, TW ds, and RE adjustable control arms than the lift kit. I think the total for these was around $650. I ordered them from www.xtremeterrain.com, the same place I got the lift kit from. You can go ahead and get a more expensive kit with adjustable upper and lower CAs, but more than likely you will have the same major driveline vibes and have to get the sye/ds.

mrbigjeep dang..you run 35's? that is awesome...to be honest..i would like to run 35 inch mud terrains with just a 4 inch jeep (biggest tires with only a 4 inch lift so i have big tires but as low as possible) but the only problem i have is that i only have a dana 35 rear axle and i have heard that it is not enough axle for 35's...i could get the super 35 axle kit but it is over 800 dollars! what axle do you have...and what was your grand total of all the stuff including the lift, sye, ds, and adjustable rear uca's plus the front ucas?? what was the grand total of all those things? would i be better off just buying a kit that already has the adjustable front and rear control arms??

jeepnurse I have had the RC Series II 4" lift on for about 6 weeks now. Yes, the ride is plenty stiff but that's ok with me. I had to get the sye, ds, and adjustable rear UCAs because of pretty bad vibes. I still have some vibes coming from the front, so I will be getting adjustable front upper control arms to change pinion angle. I run 35" MTRs and clear them easily. I plan on 1" body lift just because I like the look of more clearance.

mrbigjeep so he had clearance for 34 inch SWAMPERS?! those are VERY agressive tires and they are big...i wannar run the biggest tires possible and keep my jeep as low as possible so if he ran 34's with no clearance issues, then i might get 34's

sound hound I just put one in my 03 wrangler, and love it. I felt it was the most complete for the $$$. As far as ride I feel its great, I felt the oem was a bit "squishy" if you will. It now is firm but certainly not harsh. I had allways dealt with leaf sprung buggies in the past so this was a new experience. I did end up getting an SYE, adjustable upper control arms, and new driveshaft made, for the fact w/ 35K on it any vibration was not acceptable, and there was an oscilation @ 50-60 mph even with the xfer case lowered.

mud707 The one with the 34 in super swampers is my cousins mine is the blue one. He has the same lift as on mine. Bought it 2 weeks after we installed mine cause he liked it so much and has no clearance issues running the 34's. Now my brother has the black 06 rubi. and he is going to be ordering one for his soon.

mrbigjeep is your jeep the black one (not the Rubicon) that has the 4 inch black mountain (you told me about in ur reply) and super swampers (lol saw the swampers in the pictures) is that yours or is that someone elses and im looking at the wrong thing

The lift I bought for my TJ is a black mountian 4 inch, but is made by ruff country just under a different name and was 500 even with shipping(off e-bay from collin bros.). It is exactly the same lift as the basic rough country down to the hardware kit( even had a rough country manufacture tag in it).
It is a little stiffer than your stock suspension, but as they say any lift kit they say performs like stock is a liar. Overall I am very satisfied with its performance I didn't do a SYE and driveshaft change yet since it had the tranny drop kit and haven't had any driveshaft vibes or anything. My cousin was so impressed he got the same one for his TJ. jeeperman Sorry, no personal experience, but I have heard that it is called "Rouch Country" for a reason. The ride leaves something to be desired, unless you desire feeling like you are driving a lumber wagon... But with these manufacturers you will find variations in the kits from one to the next. You may get one off a good production run and it would be great, you just never know. For the money though, you may want to try it out and see how you like it.

anybody have any experience with the standard 4 inch rough country lift ($$529) ....how good is it???
