It is worth more than a new engine. But they fear water damage to the electrical system. Actually I might just be looking into an LJ. I loved my TJ and the extra room might be nice.

Stick with the 4.0 if I can. Insurance guy is talkin about totalin it cuz of the engine/radiator repairs and the POSSIBILITY of electrical damage

Might need a new engine cuz there was metal in the head that scored the walls. Called in an insurance claim to see if they'll cover it

Close to 17. Just off of 168. Yeah there are some trails out there. Put up a barrier of tires where the sharp left is that I missed.

not sure. I was able to drive away from the trail and coast into a gas station as she died on me. Towed it to my mechanic to find out what all is wrong with it

There is a legal spot in Chesapeake called Rock Rd. Dunno why its called Rock Rd b/c there is no actual road named Rock Rd. Its off Michael Dr in Chesapeake. Its good for wheeling, but its not somewhere you would want to camp. Alot of people like Crozet Virginia for its Rock Crawling and camping. Its like 3 hours away and is out Charlottesville Virginia. IMO The western part of Virginia is beautiful and great for camping. I spent 5 years living in Salem Virginia (a small town outside Roanoke) and you can't beat the camping and hiking out there. Lots of good wheeling trails out that way also.

If your looking for local trails in the area check out Where 2 Wheel - Trails, Maps, Ratings and Reviews

Just be smart about where you wheel around here. If the authorities have made an effort to keep people out then its prob not somewhere you want to wheel. Use your head and you will stay out of trouble...

Hopkins Anyone doing any wheeling on Saturday or Sunday? I was going to go to the wrenching party for No BS, but it looks like that is gonna be rained out.

freonburn I was just back there yesterday and it was a fun ride with it bein muddy. Looks like someone cut out a new path too.

Hopkins Well if the tracks are still in use then that is a different story. I can totally see why they wouldn't want anyone wheeling back there b/c the erosion in/around and under the tracks is already bad enough. Wouldn't want to speed up any erosion of the ground under the tracks with more wheeling. Sucks cuz that is a pretty good spot for VB.
