Yeah, I bet the sailcloth is awesome it's just i'd Rather put that extra $300 or so toward something else, or course as long as the regular replace-a-top is equal to or an improvement as far as the quality of mine is now and sound

Does the Bestop replace a top have the snaps to roll up the back window? This is also key for me

My main question is what top will sound the same as mine does now, assuming it's from 1998, which I'm pretty sure it is

I don't need a factory quality top brand new, I just want something that will sound no worse than what I got now

HULIO I have the replace a top. The less expensive one tinted windows on my 97 about 2 months old. Was my first totall top replacement. Fits nice and looks good can't speak for the noise vs any others but the quality was top notch

Phil05LJ X2 on the Bestop Sailcloth. The sailcloth is the best top I've ever had for durability and it's the quietest I've ever owned. Your original 98 top is bound to be WAY louder now than it was when it was new... The fabric stretches and the weather takes it's toll. A new top will make you feel like your Jeep is brand new and they smell soo good!
I may be a bit biased but I only buy Bestop, the fit is guaranteed and the quality is supereb.

jrussblues Bestop replace-a-top in sailcloth, that way you can retain your factory hardware. If you want just tinted windows you can usually find a mopar set on ebay pretty cheap.

Quick soft top question...

So I'm about 99% sure my soft top on my 98 is literally from 1998...is that possible? There are no leaks or anything, it's faded and the plastic shows age but not really problems...

I want tinted windows but I'm wondering, is my top a lot louder now than compared to what it was brand new back in 1998? I'm asking bc I'm wondering how loud a Pavement Ends or the cheapest Bestop softop would be compared to my top now...like I said, if it's the same loudness or quieter then I'll be happy...I do want quality though!

Help!
