bflank We did exactly what you are talking about with our 2009 X with S package. The dealer swapped out our tires to the BFG KM's for $500 as part of the sale. As Jude said exercise your negotiating skills.

rev2red Not to thread jack but how many miles can you anticipate on a set of tires on a JK wrangler sport S (NOT the unlimited) when serving street duty?

rics1997 Not that Rubi tires aren't alright but if your going to have the wheels anyhow, why not just buy new tires. 285/70/17's look a lot better anyways and you can get a good MT while your at it.

ESP I'm actually eating a tire for breakfast as we speak. Never mind it's 8pm at night. Carry on.

I agree. Whatever you do, don't get Jude started discussing tires.

1222 Well since you said, “After getting it i would like to switch the tires…” that is totally different. Anyhow, so along with the s package upgrade does that also include the Rubi tires? Still confused.

Rosh77 I guess i should have been more clear i was going to get the sport s package which should upgrade me to the 17" wheels.

I just like the looks of the beefer tires

1222 Yup what he said. Also if you go that route you should be able to pick up a set of Rubi tires and wheels pretty cheap.

daggo66 It depends on whether or not you got the upgraded Sport tires. the standard wheels are 16". The upgrade is 17" with the same exact tire size as the Rubicon, just a different brand and style of tire. If you do have the 16" wheels, you can just put the wheels and tires from a Rubicon on the Sport.

Wrangler Unlimited Sport Tires

I am looking to order a 2012 wrangler unlimited sport shortly.
After getting it i would like to switch the tires that come standard on the sport with the tires that come standard on the Rubicon.

Will they fit the rims of the sport / cause any problems if i put those on?
