|tiny terror||And Ferrets are pretty scanky already.|
|09-20-2007 07:15 PM|
You ever seen a wet squirrel? One fell in my parents pool once. Must messed up little thing I've ever seen. Picture an uglier wet ferret.
|09-20-2007 07:12 PM|
|tiny terror||There was a squirrel-nudity clause in there that really burned the squirrel's asses, too.|

|tiny terror||Is that before or after they filed against the squirrels for digging unsightly holes all over?|
|09-19-2007 11:47 PM|
|1BLKJP||I heard the ecco-terrorists filed an injunction against the fire due to its harm on the environment.|

|AzTJ||Love that last pic Chris. Very cool!|

Oh, found some more pictures......
Gene trying to scare me with a downhill that the only way down was to roll end over end.
And just a cool pic with the fire in the background.....

Did he just call me a monkey??

I took a couple guys in their Rubicons up the hill on 2N17X on Sunday, they said we could do Cleghorn another time! Cleghorn hill is tough, like 17X used to be. Fun too, you have to weave through some turns further up, just seems to keep going!
And I was thinking maybe a spring board, for short Monkeys!
|09-17-2007 07:44 PM|
|tiny terror||Oh you had to see that hill from the bottom and the ledge thing...... I thought Gene was going ass over tea kettle. There was nooooooo way.|

|1BLKJP||Bitchin pics of you and smalls there TT. Looks like some serious fun was had by all. And I think you could've made that climb. Just gotta bump it a little.|

|tiny terror||Eric, don't even.. you guys are avoiding me, I know you are.|

Looks like a great time. Can't wait to get back out with you one day soon. Just need the schedule to lighten up a bit.
We were up in the Angeles Oaks area camping with the family this weekend. Took the wife's Pilot out on some dirt. She called it off roading. But reall - those dirt roads were smoother than most of the paved roads around out house!

What a day! I'm sure glad Tiny's good with reports and computers, I didn't see a notepad however now I know what she was up to everytime we stopped and all the Q's! The ButlerII fire changed our plan for the best wheelin' I have done in a while!
I'm not good with the numbers on the roads but I do know 2N17X, and previously we decided not to do it, Tiny can let you in on that however like she said, we weren't going to throw in the towel! So west we went, through Dishpan and on through Pinnacles. We did keep moving forward and finally stopped for lunch (I couldn't tell if Tiny's Jeep was getting taller, or lower from all the food and goodies she brought, the boys kept eating - all the time!) Anyway, after we moved on and soon I turned sharp onto the feared (2N17X) and hoped Tiny would too and miss the sign with the #'s, whew, looks like she did! We were having a great time on the trail and finally made it to a real tough spot we had prevoiusly talked about so I stopped. I had to tell her where we were. It was a steep down hill with turns, I knew she could make it (on 31's ) so down we went, made it look easy! Further on there were more "pucker factor" places and after our stoppage at dishpan I said if you feel something hit, just gas it a little! On the other side of the lake to the Cleghorn trail we went and yes, there were places I haven't been but heck, you know, it's a Jeep thing! Some tough tricky places great for me since I live so close!
I had a blast, I think we all did, Tiny kept going with her great attitude, picked great lines (in spite of following a Jeep on 37's) and managed to get my Jeep "Nekked!"
Can't wait till next time, if any of the "mall Jeeps" around WF want to go, contact me, I'm ready!

I love that green Jeep!!

|tiny terror||Oh and I forgot. We were halfway down Dishpan (which um...... down is scarier than up any day of the week, thank you) and after much discussion of an area that Gene tip toed through I came to a stop thanks to hanging myself up on my diff. Well, behind us on the mostly empty trails comes a old dude, ciggy hanging out his mouth, antifreeze bottle bungeed to the front bumper of his YJ. He gets out and walks around my jeep, looks under it, takes a drag and says "well hell we got four bodies here, let's lift her up." And I'll be damned it they didn't. Took a couple seconds and Gene and I were on our way again. You gotta love Jeepies.|
|09-16-2007 02:22 PM|
|OdhinnsChick||wow, I agree, better not attempt that one! Looks like fun though.|

It was a great time. We were out there aaaaaaaaaaaall day. I think the most entertaining part was Gene's "hey, I've never been down this one before" attitude and that was all she wrote.
We spent the day heading where ever and I spent the day watching him eye every single frightening off shoot there was. He'd hesitate for a second, I'd see the gears spinning in his head and there he went.... and then due to my ego, there I went. Though, I think there were a few places that there was just no freaking way. No no no. Not a chance that I was going to go......
Now from that picture, it really doesn't look so bad, but...
from the top, you can see how steep it was. Gene's got a screw loose I think, and encourage others to do the same
(I went around, my jeep would have never made it over the ledge halfway up and I'd have just had to stay there for the rest of my life)

|jeeperman||Looks like you guys had a great time out there, wish we had something that looked like that around here!|
|09-16-2007 12:43 PM|
|Scout||Looking great guys!|
|09-16-2007 11:12 AM|
By the way, Gene.... you need a block and tackle next time I ride in your jeep. That way I won't have to monkey my way up into it.
|09-16-2007 10:21 AM|
I carry a thin long sleeved white shirt in my trail kit because after so many hours, sunscreen just don't do it. You might not get sunburned but you start to feel pretty baked.
AZ, you know, I climbed into Gene's jeep and dang, I must have looked like an idiot. The bottom of the door is above my waist. Not so sure now, guess I need to make sure 35's are exactly what I want before I spring for them. (it is the best color isn't it??)
|09-16-2007 02:53 AM|
Won't look so small when your on 35's though right?
That big green machine is one of my fav colors. I would have taken some pics today but never made it out.
Like LEV said, at least you didn't go home, went and had some fun!
