1st. I have been going to tellico since 98, been on every trail there with one of my jeeps.(1 cj 3 tj's 1 xj) While tellico is still one of the top OHV's in the country there have been major changes that I feel have lessened the trails. For example: Trail 5 before the bridge work and removal of the wonderful big rocks on the far side of the river was wonderful, now it is the main path to get work machine's up to the trail system, we often joke that at certain times of the year you could drive your honda up it. Trail 4 had a wonderful rock removed, that if you didn't go over it correcly you could go down a 100 foot drop.. loved that rock.

Other trails have seen changes as well. some where done to allow more user's, some where done to get trail repair trucks. The hard core trails in some cases are only accessible to monster jeeps. For example the last time I ran school bus you could get a open jeep on 33's up it. This last time for get it. Other's are still fine, such as lower 2 and slickrock etc.

Thus is it great that we have a place like Tellico, hell yes, will I contine to go back yes! I guess I just wish it had stayed the same over the years, but i guess that might be too much to ask for.
I hear what you are saying but trails are evolutionary by nature. Weather and usage change them. To me I am thankful for that as that makes every trip a little different. Hopefully Tellico will stay open.

Rifter1 We are in Elizabethtown, KY.
Not TOO far from Harlan. But its a ways. Our jeep started messing up on the way back. Stuck in Second gear. Sucked on gas mileage. Took it in and hooked it up to the computer and i guess we have a bad O2 sensor and tranny issues. which sucks, because the jeep is an 06. weve only had it a little over a year and Harlan is really the first oppotunity we have had to take it out and see what it can do.

But let me tell you what, we REALLY got to see what it can do!
Even tho its messed up now.
Oh well.
Ill fix it.
Its worth it.

ANYONE KNOW OF ANY OTHER PLACES TO WHEEL AROUND MY AREA? I'm about 30 miles south of Louisville.
lemmie know!~
