|trumsey07||let me get this cj owners complained about the yjs saying they were to complicated for a jeep now tell me the new jks (aka JOKES) they look nothing like the first generation jeeps and have way too many comforts the saying its a jeep thing u wouldnt understand goes nothing for the jk they are like every other piece of sh*t wanna be jeeps. jeep needs to go back to tradition|

add a body lift and you will not have any rubbing at all nor will you need to extend the bump stops.

|ca92yj||air down, remove the sway bar, and all of the pos track bars. you will get a much better ride. i have the same lift and i took all of the crape off and it goes every were my frinds do that have tjs and vary pricey lifts.|

|blueJeeps||FWIW I don't run the sway bar or rear trac bar on mine and don't mind how it feels, it still handles better than any of the CJ5s I've owned.|

When I put in my lift, I started without the rear track bar and experimented with a disconnected front trackbar and disconnected sway bar. I wasn't happy with the handling without the front panhard or sway bar, but you may not mind the "boat" sensation. No harm in experimenting.

Admitting that the prevailing wisdom is to lock the front over the back if you have to choose just one axle, and never, never, ever lock a D35, I run a locked rear D35.
Oh, and with the stock axles.
IF I didn't have a 2.5L, maybe I wouldn't. If I had 35's, maybe I wouldn't. If I had a V8, no I wouldn't.
I'm sure one day an axle will snap. That's why I carry a spare, I figure.
I wish I had a 44 or an 8.8 or 9 or a 60, but I don't. Yet. I ain't replacing anything until it needs it, then I'll think about it.
So, let's see...I have square headlights, leaf springs, 31's on stock rims, locked D35, a 4cyl, AND and AX5. If I could afford to upgrade all that crunk, I'd just get a Rubi. As is, I just have fun. In a Jeep.

Its all about the stupid pedal, if you beat the snot out of it any thing will break, don't believe go to Tellico and hang out at Slickrock, Guardrail, Schoolbus, etc and you will see even D60 break.

to resize pics i use the original program that comes with windows. (paint). to find it go to "start">all programs>accesories and it should be there called "paint" Once you run it open the picture file and then go to the "image" tab and then to sketch/skew and then change the first 2 boxes from 100% to something smaller like 50 or whatever..

I have no experience with leaf spring flex, but this guy does. He built this CJ from a wreck and has documented the build. He really gets some articulation out of the leaf springs. I know a CJ is not a YJ, but what works on a CJ should work on a YJ.......
You need to read the linked page and the at least the next two pages. There is a lot of good first hand knowledge posted there.

Cheap disconnects go around 70 and some more expensive ones are around 140.
I'm not sure here if YJs have the same size bolts that hold the sway bar links as the TJs but here is my write up. It should work for YJs but the clevis pin might be a different diameter.
