Glocker23 Thanks for all the replies...good reads. nregas1m thanks for that link..lots of info. i usually carry my cds, ems jump kit, ems lights inside the front and rear windows plus some other junk in my car, If I pick up a Jeep, I will look into getting one of those secured trunk things. I have seen a bunch in the aftermarket. As for the lights...I have no idea.

Scout No I haven't but anything is possible. If they (the person stealing it) didn't care too much about what it looked like when they got it off - could remove just about anything in a matter of minutes. Bottom line - if they want it they'll take it.

activelydying Have you really had something that was bolted down stolen?

Scout If you leave it in your Jeep expect it to be stolen. Same applies to anything bolted to the outside of it.

activelydying Actually since I've gotten the jeep my life has been made simpler by not hauling so much crap around with me. If it can't fit in the console, it's not staying in the jeep.

I've come to find out that there is no such thing as a secure vehicle. Alarms, clubs, guns, etc...just make you FEEL secure.
