blackhawk_TJ My friend Lucas and I both own jeeps mine is the all black one ( the blackhawk) he crashed.his jeep ( blue one) we both worked on it to resurrect it. I am posting for him on wf. He is on jf. Clear? I'm sorry I'm very tired right now. Had an intense track meet today.

Wrangler06 not to be rude but i cant understand a single word of your posts, cant figure how the old one was wrecked, who's jeep is who's, which person is getting which jeep, who wrecked which jeep...ahhhh im all confused

kjdavis It was asked earlier, and maybe the pictures didnt show it...but did you guys set up the gears properly? ie; pinion depth, backlash, check the pattern, etc?

Or did you just bolt the new gears on and throw them in?

blackhawk_TJ i'll have a update on project Resurrection in a couple pages . gotta get all the pictures and edit some.

but mean while what has happened he got the frame welded and transferred the interior over

99wrangler99 Very nice, I'm thinking about tearing my tj to bare frame and building it up, Maine weather really takes a toll on the body and frame. Best of luck to you

the guys was desperatly trying to part it out and we bought it basicly my friend and i went 50/50 on it


sadly i didnt get to work on the project today my friend got to ill try and get pictures i had and extensivly long practice today and my front driver caliper locked up today at a redlight and had to assese it 1st so i got a new caliper and new pads i drained the system of any debris and now gotta put new fluid and ill be set on the blackhawk (my tj) update on Project Resurrection coming soon!

Setting the backlash on the gear faces there are a few posts in hear on guys regearing their diffs, they show you how to set the correct backlash.

You guys are doing a great job, especially on a shoestring budget. You will enjoy all your hard work soon enough.

Did you get any insurance money from the cops for wrecking your Jeep?

Mikekaz1 Now I'm assuming you know this but I would test the gears and line them all up correctly. The specific word for this escapes me at the moment. But you'll tear the gears apart in no time of you don't.
