nicolas-eric i have a cheap winch like this one or this one.

i have a 12.000 lbs model.
it´s a bit louder than a friends warn and a bit slower. but it does it´s job without overheating or any other problems.

Best bet would be craigslist or the local pawnshop. Bet I've only seen 2 or 3 in the last year of the 2 forums I'm on.

Welcome aboard. Best forum around.

Where are the used winches?!?!

I have owned my 97 wrangler for about a year and i love it. I am now looking to add a recovery winch but i dont have tons to spend. I would like to pick up a decent used winch to save some $, but i have only been able to find new ones for sale (even on ebay). I am about ready to give up on the idea, but i decided to join a forum first, thinking that someone may be able to help me out. Any info would be great, like a website or something. I have spent hours online and i can still only find high priced new winches. Any ideas???
