Head work ... Would love to hear your advice

Bought a 91 YJ and I figured out pretty quickly that there was a bad head gasket. The cylinder head has been removed and cleaned only to find out it is warped in the middle. Been trying to find a local machine repair shop to have it resurfaced. I found a few, the one I like is a guy who has a reasonable prices.

Resurfacing $45
then cleaning it, another $20
He suggested having a pressure test done for cracks for $45

My question is... is all this necessary? Do you recommend having the pressure test done?

Also, if it does have a crack(s) does this mean its an unusable part, or is it something that can be repaired?

Money is tight, as I am sure it is for most now a days, so I am all about learning as much as I can about the engine and purchasing any parts for repair, whether we can do it ourselves or have our private mechanic do the work. I am glad to be a part of this forum on these jeeps, its a great source of reference and learning.. so thank you!

Would love to hear any comments or advice!
