Came to a conclusion. Going with SOA
Gonna get all the stuff from RC and hopefully start on it before it gets cold. Thanks for all the advise. But I'll probably be back here askin more stuff later.

Back to your lift, SOA is the only way to go with a yj, unless you go coil-overs. Ibuildembig has an excellant build thread here on SOA suspension. Check it out.

|amerdt4||How would SOA with bds 2" springs perform? Good solid ride with ample flex? I imagine that'll be 7.5to 8" of height ? Too tall?|

I personally like BDS springs. I've had their 2" on my YJ for about 6 years. They also have springs upto 6". Made in the USA and their warranty can't be beat. Never had a problem with mine. They gave more than 2" of lift when new, but settled evenly and have not sagged.
I've had springs from Superlift and Full Traction which I returned due to poor quality.

|banks316||I'm also not a fan of bolt ons but if you can't weld then go with the rocky road soa kit. Your other options are 6in sua lift I believe skyjacker has one. Or a 4in sua lift with a 1 or 2 in body lift or fender hacking. That's your options if you want to clear 35's|

Actually I dont know, I want to do SOA but I dont really want to go over 6".
My last resort is going with the Rocky Road 6.5" Bolt-on SOA even though I don't really want that much of a lift I guess I can live with it. By the way, is that still safe on the road?

|jslayton2||SOA with stock is at least 5.5 inch lift from where you are at now. If your suspension has a little sag from age it may be a little more. Another 4 inch suspension lift should get close to 10. You will have to get a high steer system extended shocks and replace the drive shafts. I like Rough Country but that's just me. Good warranty and quick turn around. They have a dull line of parts so you can call them and tell them what you are doing and they will tell you exactly what you need to be safe. Good luck|

|banks316||Its what i would suggest. If your looking for a bolt on SOA kit check out Spring over axle lift for Jeep Wrangler, SOA not too keen on what they did with the stock perches but if ur not up to fabrication it looks like a soild kit. just need an ss sye or do a tcase drop and hope for the best.|

Btw a SOA will gain 5.5 inches. First you need to know how to weld first off cause you will need to cut off the old leave pearches and weld on new ones. Second I would suggest the tera flex high steer knuckle its $400 but well work the money that way you can custom build your own cross over steering. Or Tera sells the complete kit for just over $600. You can use your stock springs but i suggest you look at rubicon express 1.5in springs there dessighed for a SOA lift. Other then a ss sye and cv shaft thats it. When i did my SOA im into it for about 1800$ thats with steering, drive line, ss sye and new front springs. I used stock YJ springs with a 2+ shackle and a pair of +2in springs in the back with stock shackle.

Give ya more pictures. I vote SOA.
Here is 4.5" Suspension with 1" Body, 35x12.5 tires. Rubbed pretty good and rubbed on tight turning.
Now have SOA, 2" BDS Springs, 1" Body with same tires.

Nice ride, love the color, lol. I have a 4" suspension lift, no body lift. Running 32x11.5x17. Thought about bigger, but this is my DD and has enough clearance to still go most places that I trail, yet I am still getting just shy of 20mpg with the stock 4.0 5spd and dana 35 factory gears
