Sweet. I have a couple of busy weekends coming up, but things should slow down next month. I'll hit you up via PM. And I used to jump out of airplanes. No more static line for me thanks. Haha. I started working on getting my skydiving license, but after 4, I learned that my wife was scared senseless every time I went up, so I put it on the back burner.

I'll be in touch!

The biggest reason I wanted to get out there soon was to make sure all the drive train stuff was good before my courtesy-of-Hawaii warranty expired. I need better tires before I get serious, though. The GY Wrangler's are getting toward the end of life. Naturally, I'm going to bump up the size (maybe as big as 31"). I want different rims, too, but time will tell. I re-up in October, so I'll have some mad money.

Maybe one day we can get together and you can teach me some Jeepisms. If you don't mind hanging out with an Army guy.

A couple of weeks ago I went with others up Peacok Flats on the other side of the mountains. We took some pretty intense trails and had a lot of fun. That location I would never go alone.

So now I want to do something moderate, but fun. I'm thinking about going out to Kaena Point Saturday morning around 9ish. However, advice seems to suggest NOT going wheeling anywhere alone, ever. Any chance anyone will be out there?

Mr. E We used to have a blast out at Kaena Point when I was stationed out there. I heard a rumor about it getting shut down but that was 3 years ago. Anyways, here's some crappy pics from a trip out there. Mine is the Blazer. My roomate was in the Disco

Abnmarine I just drove out to Kaena Point last Saturday. Had a lot of fun too. Didn't go too far back since the family was with me but will return.

shieldze1025 Kaena** Point, not Karma lol.

That's where I ended up going, awesome spot. 3 miles (I believe) from front to back, only one way in or out in a vehicle. Not too hard but there are mud pits, rocks, and small hill climbs if you want to venture.

I had a blast, the jeep was great and gave me no trouble. One thing though- I don't know too much about lifts to be honest. All of my high school shenanigans were on stock vehicles, and I've had cars since then until now. My jeep has a 2-3" lift and 35's, I believe it is ProComp but I don't really know. It was done by the previous owner and I couldn't get any info on it. I hate buying modded vehicles b/c you don't know jack about how the work was done, but at the time I wasn't planning on doing anything crazy with it (stupid me- I should have known the bug would bite again).

That being said, I'd love some help some time or just meet up with someone to give it a look-over and see what I have, or lend a hand wrenching if anyone needs help so I can learn. Any takers? haha

PS. I'll put up some pictures when I get home from work.

1990_YJ Karma point. Haleiwa side past the air field. Keep going and you litterally drive into it. Its fun easy and I've taken everything in 2w. Though at times you'll need 4WD. There is a spot to the right as soon you as you enter that you can climb. Its just a few rocks and dirt but so much fun and you can test your jeep out. Suggestion. Sway bars disconnected and mud terrains are ideal for the climbs though im not sure. I feel comfy doing them with rear track bar off adj front, discos and running m/t 31s. Don't know the lift but seems to be a small one. Go in the am, bring some drinks, some supplies, I do I've helped lots of people and they've helped me. Im in a red yj front windsheild always down when I go offroad. See me just stop and say hey.

Abnmarine People have been telling me of the trails past Dillingham Airfield.
