gammy I just did my Floor pans (driver and passenger side)..with 2 coats of Por-15 (due to some rust and I wanted to be "preventive".

Why couldn't I use something like that to do an entire vehicle...then put something like a HUSKY LINER or something down?

I am not sure it would help (like carpet) with road noise>
rebelBullDawg325 (you must be from Mississippi...I am a USM'er).

rebelBullDawg325 i've heard more people say bad things about herculiner (and other do it yourself products) than i've heard good. not just on forums, but people i actually know. yea, line-x is pretty expensive. i've been savin up for a while and i'm just about ready to get it done

gammy So, have you or anyone used the product?
1) is it good for sound deterrent
2) is it good for rain/rust prevention
3) would 1-gallon do it? (mainly would do the wheel wells and down..i.e. wherever carpet is now.

tks in advance!

daddyjeep Herculiner. You can pick it up at Walmart or the parts store for $100.

gammy I checked on Line-x in my area..too much $$$$$

Is there a "do it yourself" coating that I could put on and feel like it was "semi" professional?

rebelBullDawg325 you probably just have to rub some of the mud and junk out with your hand while running the hose pipe over it. just to get it to let go. i agree about the carpet. with it in its harder to clean.

"if you hose it out, do you flip it to get the water out?"
no, i generally take a blow dryer or air compressor to it
