mr4x4 i drap my air pressure down th 12 psi it works good and the fox racing shocks help a lot
not to mention the terra flex gives a very soft ride
if I ride the pavement with my sway bar disconnected it feels like I'm going to roll on a right or left hand turn (no faster then 3mph)

Absolutely.

Certainly would not suggest running low pressure onroad. We are talking offroad, right?

Low PSI onroad would lower mpg and would make for a potentially dangerous ride: it'll feel like you are sloshing around while driving. I've done it by accident before and it is not a fun feeling.

Would have to agree here. Would say the number one thing you can do is drop the PSI. I usually run in the 11-13 range (and don't have bead locks yet). Undoing the front swaybar will help also, but tire pressure would be my first suggestion.

Exactly my point Its a jeep after all you're not suppose to corner at full speed.. turn w/ the the speed written in the yellow signs and you'll be happy.

Triple88a I have my front sway bar disconnected. It was quite an improvement as ride quality goes.. (just drive a bit slower untill you're used to it)

The best improvement was when driving on surfaces that change angle side to side quite a bit. Instead of it all moving with the road, it shifts side to side a lot less so it rides a lot smoother. I'd say disconnect it and see how you like it (just be careful when getting used to the swaying)

The rear sway bar is quite soft so i didnt bother messing with that one.

99ChiliPepper Dropping the tire pressure to around 15 to 20 on rough roads make all the difference. Also, if your suspension is too tight, it might not get better.

how to make a TJ handle rough roads ?

I need help trying to figure out what I can do to make our '01 TJ handle rough, rutted roads much better than it does.

it slams from side to side pretty badly on the rough stuff. I know I should find softer and longer springs, and great shocks, but what should I do with the sway bars, disconnect them, or find lighter ones?

and will flex arms help at all?
