GoldenSahara00 If it's totaled, you won't have money to cover all of it though. So it sucks no matter what. And it's still no guarantee once it's been in an accident.

I have the zone 3"

I guess it's a double edged sword. If it comes down to it though, I'd rather have a "totaled" Jeep that I know is rock solid and risk it with the resale/future accidents. Hopefully I won't have to worry about that though.

Is anybody here running Zone lifts? how do y'all like them? I'm thinking of finally replacing my el cheep spacer lift with Zones 3 in. I would at least need some adj lower control arms, wouldn't I?

My jeep has had so much redone by my and maintained that its clean and nothing wrong at all. Goes to show a title doesn't mean everything.
My Uncle had a CJ that was totaled and never gave him an issue, and seeing as I plan on keeping my Jeep for 10+ years assuming they fix her completely, a blemish on her title doesn't mean as much to me as her condition does. I just want her back already, I'm starting to really hate this rental and it'll probably take them at least another 2 weeks.

She only has 36k miles so it looks like it ranges from 10-13 according to kbb. No clue what the insurance will think though think. I plan on looking her over tomorrow to get a better idea of what needs to be replaced, but I'm guessing the front axle is bent, the transfer case might be damaged from the drive shaft being driven into it at 45 mph, all the control arms are probably tweaked, the bumper and fender need to be replaced, and in the short time I looked at her waiting for the tow truck it almost looked as if the body had been tweaked behind the fender, although it was pretty dark so I'm not too sure about that one. And I'd rather them total her and either buy her back or find another than having to deal with hidden damage coming back to haunt me.

They also tried to use refurbished parts, like I'd let them do that!

Thanks, I could use some right about now. The adjuster was supposed to send me the estimate like 3 or 4 hours ago, and I can't reach her, so I guess I'll just wait it out.

Yea luckily nobody was hurt, although it was rough seeing my Jeep in that shape. If they total her I'm tossing around the idea of getting a CJ

WIwrangler Wow seems like recking season. Went wheeling this past weekend and friend rolled his Cherokee. I was with him but thank goodness it had an exo cage or we'd be gone. Time to rebuild it.
10-13-2014 09:09 AM
IP0VV3R I also got in a wreck a couple weeks ago. Clipped a pole trying to avoid a drunk guy walking into the street while I was DDing. Bent the axle, lower control arm mounts and cut a coolant line.

Cops gave him the ticket, he was making a left turn without an arrow and I had a green light. He seemed pretty cool about it and admitted responsibility so I don't think I'll have any problems there. I've got to convince friends to give me lifts to college for a bit though, which sucks. Biggest thing I'm worried about is that it'll have one or two issues after I get it back that will be impossible to hunt down. That it'll never be the same.

Slightly worried it might have tweaked the frame rail right at the bumper. Guess I'll find out Monday. Also, two Jeepers showed up about a minute after and helped me get her off the road.
