|Javy115||My freedom panels leak too same place. Picked it up today after they supposedly fixed the leaks. And what do you know water in my driver side slush mat again. Showed the guy today before i drove off. Apologized and told me to bring it back next Tuesday. I got a 2012 4 door Sahara only 2200 miles on it. It's going back next Tuesday for the 3rd time. Unacceptable.|

|Little R6||Had a 2012 JKU, no leaks for the year I had it (front tops came off 1/2 dozen times). Traded it for am 10A and the top leaks down the drive pillar and today above the radio. The tops are not even (driver side back about 3/16" compared to passanger side. Dealer is taking a look at it tomorrow. Their "specialist" is in only on Tuesday's hopefully it's only the misalinment, otherwise it'll go back on Tuesday too. They said not to worry, if the nav unit hold condensation in the screen they said they will replace it and the front carpet if nessesary. Will post after I hear what they adjust.|

Hi everyone. Been almost a year since Chrysler bought back my 2 door 2011 Sport Soft Top. I replaced it with an Avalanche afyer Chrysler bought it back. I wasn't happy with the truck and I bought a 4 door 2012 Sport Hard Top. Whereas my 2011 was Detonator Yellow, my new one is Dozer. I'm not sure if they consider that orange or yellow. It looks yellow to me.
Anyhow, the reason I'm posting now is to tell you that my 2012 does not have a single leak whatsoever. It just so happens that my 2011 turnes out to be a bad build. My 2012 is perfect. I wish everyone else who is having problems the best of luck. Things have a funny way of turning out fine.

|jk'n||^^ Believe it or not, it is a fix that usually works wonders. Problem is they put too much on it. It only needs a slight coating. Just spread it out with a cloth so that the seal looks wet but not so much that you can see streaks in it when you rub your finger on it. Now that mine is out of warranty and after Chrysler bought my first one back because of leaks, I keep the seals in good shape and working properly by occasionally washing and re-applying a coat of silicone grease. I didn't get this idea from a dealer. I got it from a fellow jeeper when I was camping up at Sebago Lake in Maine. I used to worry about a leaking jeep. At 5 years old now I worry a lot less. I don't blame you for being upset about the mess however as it is very unprofessional for them to have done such a poor job applying it.|

|packardex||I took my 12 into the dealership for a leak up front. Their answer was to coat the front seals with some silicone grease. They made a MESS grease all over the bottom of my top. I stopped back at the dealership today and chewed their a$$. I told them I wanted the tops cleaned and the seals replaced if needed. The grease was a feeble attempt at a shade tree fix. I will not take it off often but when I do I do not want grease job.....|

|SLEIPNIR||4th visit to the dealer still leaks. Not only that, but the freedom panel over the drivers side fills with water... You can hear it slosh around when you brake and accelerate.|

|MichiganJeepster||Ok guys the Jeep went in for the third time for passenger side floorboard being soaked. This time they replaced the header saying it was mis-shapen causing the leak. To my surprise, three days of hard rain and no leaks!!! Wind noise is still terrible on drivers side, I guess the tech did not road test it after to check to see if the new header also solved the windnoise problem like the paper work said it did.|

That sucks! I would have asked them to show me leaks at similarly equipped new Wranglers on the lot. Use a garden hose if necessary to prove that this leakage is normal for all new Wranglers. If they didn't leak start the lemon law procedure (depending on the law in your state).

So about two weeks ago I took mine in for trip #6 for the drivers side leak.
As of now - looks to be solved.
For those who are following the soap opera - I had a 2011 before my 2012. The '12 came form a different dealer - who was great at being willing to try and look for the problem, but they outsourced water leaks to a 'specialist' - they were able to solve the pax side, but not the drivers side.
I then went back to the dealer I originally bought the 2011 from (as my 2011 didn't leak...), where their own techs do the leak work. Seems to have solved the problem.
I'll go ahead and recommend Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep on South Tacoma Way for anyone in the Puget Sound area who has a leak issue.

|Old Dogger||My 2012 water would leak in at several areas in heavy rains and soak my carpet. My dealer tried five (5) times to fix it, but finally just gave up and said that I would have to live with it, because it is just normal for them to leak. The other option that they gave me was too use household silicon caulk on it, but then the tops would be permanently sealed and could not be removed, I declined there offer to do that. They also wanted to sell me a set of rubber floor mats for $95.00 to keep the water off of the carpet, I thought that was a good idea, but I didn't want to spend the $95.00. I traded it in on a 2013, which so far does not leak.|

Just to report the other side. My 12 JKU Sahara Soft Top will be a year from purchase at the end of April and I rode through some heavy rain and wind last Friday. Still no leaks. The condo I am renting does not have garage space so it is outside in a parking lot through all of our weather. This is my 1st Wrangler and I have had the top of off/down numerous times. I am still amazed how quiet it is and that there are no leaks even though the rear windows are zippered and velcroed. Even with my rookie mistakes it is good.
I do feel your pain (99 300m nightmare) and hope Fiat/Chrysler steps up to resolve these issues for you. I am leary of their quality and service.

Passenger floor wet
Just bought a 12 month old 70th anniversary hard top. Done 10,000 miles and discovered that the passenger floor is wet. used to have a grand cherokee, beginning to wish i had replaced it and not gone for a WranglerÖ Just joined forum, seems like a good place to get tips and advice.

|MichiganJeepster||One of you guys has to know how to stop water from getting in on passenger side front door soaking my floorboard on 2012 JKU Hard top. Been to dealer twice and it leaks worse with new door seal. I don't get it, the door seal is so tight you have to close the door so hard to keep it from bouncing back at you. Inside of door frame near the top front corner is beaded up with water which runs down and gathers in the floorboard. Windshield has terible wind noise on drivers side too. Help me guys please.|

|Bsoa4200||Yeah mine leaks driver side floor is all wet. First noticed it last summer but just decided it was from wet feet or washing the floor mats and putting them back in wet. I have to say I have been to three different dealerships to fix the issue. Chrysler has the worst warranty. The third dealer canít find a leak and refuses to fix anything lies, lies, and some more lies. I Called Chrysler and have a case manager that does not return calls and said if the dealer canít find a leak then there is no warranty repair. What a load of BS! Iím going to take it out of town to a 4th dealer to address the issue. This will be my 4th attempt at a fix, if they canít fix it lemon law time. I love my 2012 arctic but if this problem is as bad as it is now I don't want the hassle of it five years from now. For 42,000 bucks I expect a better customer experience. Chrysler has ruined my jeep experience.|

|Mopar2Ya||I had the leak from the freedom panels directly over the dash/radio, the dealer said it was a pinched seal, time will tell if it's fixed. I went in for new upholstery(warranty denied), I came out w/damaged center console, chipped paint, & who knows what else I barely had time to look it over before heading back to work.|

I own a 2013 4-door Rubicon and have recently noticed the carpet in the rear was damp. I was able to trace the leak at the rear glass seal and rear hatch door.
I'm afraid to take it in to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle because all their shop employees are a bunch of numb nuts and don't care about being careful around other people's investments. For all I know they might fix the one leak but may cause several more where it has never leaked before.
I've heard of several owners complain about having leaks in the center if the freedom tops and having to place Tupperware bowls above their Stereo/Nav/DvD to prevent damage, I hope I never have that problem.
