that is the bump stop that fell out. any advice
they probably didnt install the jounce bumpers properly. they likely didn't compress them in past the retaining tabs. that said:

1. if you got a 2.5" lift and don't have any bumpstop extensions, then you're bumpstops are NOT set properly. bumpstop length depends on shock length.

2. jounce bumpers do rot and fall apart over time, especially when exposed to salted roads. you can replace them with junkyard parts or aftermarket parts. Crown sells new front jounce bumpers, and ZJ front's will fit in the TJ rear.

3. the Daystar thing you showed is a POS, do NOT buy those.

Lunatic Fringe As long as you continue to refer to your Jeep as a "car", pcs. of it will one by one jump off and hide.

Sounds like something wasn't tightened up correctly.

Bump stops

I went off roading today after i got my 2.5" lift installed and i went up a rock face, i got out of my car to take a pic and i see one of my rear upper bump stops on the ground. I got to check to see which one is missing and they both are. Im going back to the place where i got it installed to see what happend because im pretty sure there not supposed to fall out right?
