Can't wait, now just need to get my trackbar and rear bracket put on!!

Triple88a Jherrin with my luck if i get something thats not backordered instead of the backordered one it will end up taking more time
11-09-2007 10:34 AM
acopsy88 i dont think i had that long of a wait because mine were 285 75 16 metric style or whatever
11-09-2007 10:33 AM
acopsy88 Did you get them buy 3 get 1 free i had a short wait got them in 10 days. The beautiful green and yellow semi dropped them off blocking the road :P
11-09-2007 02:13 AM
jherrin215 Well I said earlier that I was getting a set of 35 12.50 xtreme MT's but they were on backorder, so I called back and changed it to Xterrains. I really like the looks of them and they seem like they would be a great all around tire. I think I would have loved the MT's but I think I will like these just as good if not better!!

Triple88a mud is slippery but will never change while snow can turn as slippery as ice as you spin the tires trying to get out. With mud need to step on it to clean the treads but w/ snow you need to move slowly otherwise you will only get stuck deeper as it get slipperier.
11-04-2007 11:00 AM
hemmer now just wondering. i would consider mud and snow identical to an extent-- both slippery lol. then why would mud terrains be bad in snow?
11-03-2007 02:03 PM
mrbigjeep i've seen a couple reviews in magazines...like most other MT's, they do fine till they get to the real thick clay and gooey stuff...then they clog up just like most other mud terrains (with the exception of a few tires like certain swampers)
11-03-2007 11:55 AM
acopsy88 its all good i learned the word siped from here lol....
11-03-2007 05:47 AM
jjseel Cuts in the lugs. Makes the tire more flexible, run cooler, more edges to grip.
11-03-2007 03:29 AM
RIPBiker13 Sorry but I don't know what "siped" means.
11-03-2007 03:25 AM
acopsy88 Have you had them in the mud yet? How do they handle and since they come siped do i need to have them resiped? I figured you wouldnt want to mess with them since they come siped
11-03-2007 03:21 AM
RIPBiker13 I've had mine for 5k now, no visible wear yet. I still love them!
11-03-2007 03:00 AM
acopsy88 yeah i agree i hope to get 20000 out of mine i dont put many miles on my jeep
11-02-2007 12:04 AM
alleyn59 I know the xterrains wear out in only 20-25K miles... I'd be curious to know, how long these new tires will last.
11-01-2007 04:23 PM
EnigmaMan Sweet! Ya ive had these tires on for a few weeks and got 6" of snow here in Denver about 2 weeks ago. Since I got them siped the traction is Awesome in the snow / ice!
11-01-2007 06:26 AM
jherrin215 I ordered some 35 xtreme MT's yesterday as well. I just about called back and changed it to the xterrain's for only 20 bucks more, but decided to stay with the MT's.
11-01-2007 12:47 AM
acopsy88 Just ordered 33s pro comp xtreme mt this thread made me choose them over the x terrains 600 for 4. buy 3 get 1 free got to wait a week 2 two. The sales man i talked to said these are exactly like toyo mud country and cant go wrong with toyo. Best decision i have made getting rid of my thorn turds. It took me 1 bad rain storm to say enoughs enough and crappy performance in mud deffinitely look in to tires before buying im just glad i didnt buy them new
10-08-2007 11:13 AM
MoA they dont look like it =X.. ive seen jeeps with 33s under a 4'' lift and seems like he has a lot more room between his tire and fenders
10-07-2007 09:30 PM
mrbigjeep lol those are 33's
