jeeper95yj The block is out!! And man did it look dirty, I'll get a call tomorrow telling me how it looks, what was broke and how long it's going to take. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight!!

jeeper95yj Hmm, it would figure. Anyway, the shop that I ended up taking it to started pulling the engine Thursday. They called up and said they were having trouble getting the engine unhooked from the bellhousing. They were going to have to drop the skid plate to get some leverage to get it apart, or drill the bolt out. From there it goes to the Rebuild shop, and I am crossing my fingers that it in fact can be rebuilt. We'll find out this week!

Your mechanics lied to you. A proper;y built stroker motor once tuned will be the same upkeep as factory.

daddyjeep More maintenance? I can't see why adding a little displacement would cause more maintenace.

jeeper95yj You can get a crate on www.quadratec.com for $1600.00, but I want to keep the original engine in it. I'm sort of kean on it, it's gotten me through many a spot. I decided not to go with a stroker kit, due to I was informed by several mechanics that this would require more maintenance. So, I am going with a stock rebuild and going to throw on some performance parts

I went and did it.....

I went and had my YJ towed to the garage and they have begun pulling my engine!! After it get's pulled they are going to transport it down the way to another shop that's going to rebuild it, or at least tear it down and tell me if it can be rebuilt. *crossing my fingers* So now we wait and see...
