MTH I've never done it, but I'd expect if you leave it zipped in it'll crease pretty badly.

But there are other options. One is to unzip it, but leave the bar mounted in place so the window simply flops down into the rear cargo area. The other option is to unzip only the sides of the window, unsecure the bar, and roll the window up. The rolled window can be secured by the two elastic straps that should be dangling from the interior of the soft top.

The second option is "technically" the correct one, though it will scratch the window over time.

daggo66 It is not necessary, but folding it will definitely shorten it's lifespan significantly. I will become scratched and if the weather cools after the top has been lowered, the window could become brittle and crack. It would be better to remove it and clean and lubricate the zipper.

the Kolector Letting it fold in will eventually cause creasing.

Do I have to remove rear window?

I just purchased a 2007 wrangler umlimited 4 door and while folding down the soft top I find it a lot easier if I don't have to remove the rear window because zipping it back up is a pain. So my question to the group is...Is it really necessary to remove the rear window? Is there a problem wilth letting it fold in with the rest of the top?
