Jmaggi Either or...I'm getting anxious. The trail I mostly hit here in ct is also under water for the most part.

GREEN-MACHINE right now im looking at october mountain in lee mass, nice easy trail ride for bone stock jeeps. tolland is under water.
ive never been to october mt. so im waiting on directions.

or we could do Huntington, a little tricky for stockers, but i just found out there are go arounds for the tough stuff.

N1IRB Fingers crossed here.

Atleast the forcast for most of the next week is clear and sunny. Maybe things will dry out by the following weekend.

GREEN-MACHINE im waiting for an update on tolland,,, with just a little rain the water gets very deep,,, it has no place to drain. so it sits there in massive pond like puddles and the swamps over flow their banks... and last night and the past week we had tons of rain. waiting and hoping.. also im looking for another option,

OlYellerTJ I'll be looking for the new thread. I hope SWMBO is feeling well, she has been asking about wheeling/trail-riding and I like to make her happy. ;-)

Thanx Green Machine!

GREEN-MACHINE like i said, not everone needs a cb,, 2 are needed 1 in front 1 in the rear,
09-27-2011 09:26 AM
Peepers Sounds fun, but unfortunatly my wheeling days are numbered until I get a new jeep... My frame has taken just too much of a beating to be safe (Salt and Rust)... Maybe in the spring (estimated replacement timeline)
09-27-2011 09:17 AM
sneck i am cb-less at the moment, if needed I can see about snagging one from my brother in law, he's redneck enough to have some spares laying around
09-27-2011 08:07 AM
Pmedg i do not have a CB
09-27-2011 07:58 AM
GREEN-MACHINE i'll be starting a new thread on the 5th of october ,,, ( TOLLAND ROAD CALL )
this will be for the jeepers that are going, also feel free to pm me.
oh and how many of you have cb's radios, we need 1 in front 1 in the middle and 1 out back .
olyellatj ,, your jeep can do tolland.

GREEN-MACHINE ok just got off the phone with my friend,,, he just did tolland in his new 2012 right off the show room floor ,,, water is down a bit, but still deep.. but he did do the whole trail. except for the mud pit. so if your not scared of water, tolland could be a go. oh the meeting spot for toland is 2000 east otis road otis mass 01079, if you pull it up on google maps ,, go to the intersection at the gas station,,, go left, when the road goes right the trail breaks off to the left... follow trail to power lines after power lines it turns right and follows the power lines. bone stock jeep sport's have done this trail and im still shooting for this.heres a few pictures of the water.

OlYellerTJ Yeah, I need to let this one pass. I'm sure that I couldn't tackle that even without the plow frame.
09-24-2011 08:37 AM
GREEN-MACHINE nsfw,, i use course English whelling 3 - YouTube
this is the ledge climb at Huntington , i needed to be winched in 2 places,
09-24-2011 08:08 AM
GREEN-MACHINE back up plan is huntington, ( close by tolland ) and yeah that plow frame would be as issue,, i have pictures of of both, i'll post up later and a vid ( i think)

OlYellerTJ Green Machine,

I'm interested in this trail run if it happens. Question: my stocker has a Fisher Homesteader plow rig. I've dropped the plow but I lose a little clearance up front from the remaining frame. Do you think the area in Tolland, Mass will present insurmountable clearance issues for a stocker with a plow frame?
FWIW, I've gone out once with some friends on a fairly mild trail/off-trail ride which included water up to about the headlights. No problem there but not too rocky either.

Damn, thats pretty high. and it doesnt seem as though too many dry and warm days are in our future. I appreciate the heads up.

sneck if that trail does happen to get flooded out, any back up trails?
