95YamJam No range? I get almost 3 miles with my 2ft antenna it's not tuned 100% right. Cell phones are hard to deal with if your wheeling in a group.

A properly tuned cb will get great range and sound quality. If your SWR is off then yes they suck bad.

TuckerTighe I mounted mine today. used a mount I found at Radioshack and just drilled through the tube bumper. Mounted the CB under the dash

jeepinmichguy Under the dash just to the right of the radio, or mount to the back of the center console.

I'll get a pic in the morning. I just bolted half an antenna mount to the side. Plan on welding a plate over the top for a mounting plate soon.

DoubleTap Anyone know how strong/durable the antenna mounts are that mount on a bracket behind the brake light?

I'd like one of those, but don't want to end up with a cracked lense if the antenna hits a tree limb...

Riderman353 I like mine here

goatman It won't look as nice, but you could accomplish the same thing with an electrical pipe mini (made for all sizes of pipe) and an L bracket and a couple bolts. I'm guessing the total cost for that would be $5 or less from a home depot.

Mounting a cb

Hi, I was thinking about buying a CB to mount in my Jeep, my question is where are good places to mount the antenna and the cb post pictures of your setup. I saw this and thought it might be a good idea, but I don't really want to spend $20 just to mount it
