If the PO put a lift and 33s, he probly did a few things you can't see without a wrench.

|4Jeepn||I would check the front axle shaft u-joints see if any of the caps are loose. Then if they look good, removed the front diff cover and see if how things look inside the diff.|

|King||The only time I get the squeal now is at a gas station or drive thru, Since they are very tight turned, I was actually thinking I could just change gears on it.|

it probably has a lunchbox locker in it. a lunchbox locker replaces the spider gears in a stock gear carrier. they are good for off road use, but not as friendly on road, although lots of people drive them daily with lunchbox lockers.if you can learn to drive it without chirping the tires, it will last a lot longer. let off the gas when making tight turns. let it coast as you turn. the ratcheting sound is normal if it indeed has a locker. if you ever change the rear diff fluid, it probably looks like this:

I had bought a 87 Jeep Wrangler 4.2 litre Automatic a few months back, Nice Jeep has a 4inch Skyjacker lift on it with 33'' tires. Question is, When I go to turn, The tires squeal real loud and makes a ticking sound somewhat. I'm wondering what gears does it need on it?
