|whitebuffalo||i had this problem when i tore down my 360 in my old truck. the best bet it soak it in PB blaster to start with. if ppossible, wrap a string around it and soak the string in PB blaster. if its flushly broken,you'll hafta get an easy out or broken screw extractor.|

broken exhaust manifold stud
I just got a call from the shop doing a state inspection on my '95 YJ.
There's a broken exhaust manifold bolt/stud causing a leak.
Based on other threads here, sounds likely it's the one nearest the firewall.
In any event, how many have had luck with removing it with an e-zout without removing the head, and who has had to remove the head?
I'm not going to pay them to do it - I'll tackle it myself.
