Odhinn If you are not putting alot of torque on the wheels (i.e. wheeling hard) they should stand up fine, BUT wheel spacers could cause premature bearing failure. If possible run the proper offset wheels.

By adjusting the steering stops he wont ever even have the possibility of rubbing. Why be so lazty when the fix will take about 15 minutes!?

GrnTJ If you dont want to use those spacers (and Id understand why), you have another option. Its far cheaper too. All you've got to do is adjust your steering stops. If you look on the knuckles of your axle you will see a small (1/2" I believe) bolt that is threaded in with a nut that has a small tack weld holding it at a designated distance down the threads. All you've got to do is pull that bolt out and slide some spacers on it and thread it back on. Depending on how bad you rub you will need more or less spacers. You might have to play with it a little. It usually take about 2-3 per side. You will lose a little bit of your truning radius but not too bad compared to the cost of new tires if they are always rubbin. Hope that helps ya.

orange05tj I went through the same problem. IMO, I dont trust wheel spacers. You need a wheel with a 4" BS. I went with Cragar soft 8's and no rub at all. Good Luck.

Wheel spacers

Does anyone have any experience using wheel spacers? Or maybe just an opinion about them. I have an 02 TJ with a 2" BB running the factory Canyon wheels with 32" Bridgestone Dualer A/T's. I have a slight rub problem on the LCA's at full turn. I bought a set of nearly new 1 1/4" spacers, but am hesitant about putting them on.
Any thoughts?
