Peepers Hmmm... I had come across the name, but thats a much better site than the one I was looking at... and I really wish we could visit the ORV parks, but with an over 2000 mile Trip and high gas prices, my friends just aren't that interested in taking 12-15 mpg vehicles...

GrassKicker Try looking up "Tims Ford Lake", they have a campground. It is a state rec area I think. It is not far from Jack Daniels, about 30 minutes or so. There is also Hale Mountain OHV Park about 30-45 min. away if ya'll wanna do some wheelin', Check it out halemountainohvpark.com

Jack Daniels World BBQ Championship Trip

Hello Tennesseeer's!

I'm planning on making a trip south for the world bbq championship come october and I can't wait to visit the Jack Daniels and George Dickel distileries while I'm down there.

Just currious if any of you fine folk live near there, or have visited there and know of any good tent friendly campgrounds in the area, or even a state park, some place where we can set up our tents and have a fire at night. Most that I can find online are campgrounds and just the ones that pay to be advertised...

Were planning on a group of 6-10 people and alas the concesus is fuel milage over fun, so we're not bringing the jeep. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!
