Yes that will work.Just unbolt the ones that are still good and the ones that broke through the body will stay when you lift the body.I had the same thing happen to a blazer.I jumped the railroad tracks and the body lift pushed through the body when I landed.Mine just done it at the two on each side below the front doors.They went trough far enough the doors would not open.I fixed mine by lifting the body up and welded a steel plate back in but you have to drill a hole in the plate with a nut welded to the inside because you won't be able to get a nut or a wrench back in there once the plate is welded in place.

I have a 3 inch body lift on my tj.. bad decision i know. I wanna take it off. So i went and got my self a 4 inch RC with a 1 inch BL heres the problem.
i went to go take off the bolts on the BL and they kept spinnin. I looked up and there it was. The BL broke into the the body. Do u know what im talking about. Its only on the drivers side but it still sucks. I dont really know what to do. Ive thought about liftin the body cuttin them out and welding a new strip of steel up to the body. Would that work???

does the jks bl come with fuel filler hose extension pipe?
I know i needed one for my 2" bl and for sure you have it with your 3" bl so..
You'll also need to remove the brackets that come w/ the 3" bl on the steering column right by the intake/exhaust manifold.

|orange05tj||First things first. Dont admit to a 3" bl. Go with a 1.25 bl.|

|jherrin215||You won't have to have stock bolts if you just downgrade to a smaller BL such as a JKS, the BL will come with it. That would be my suggestion as well. I don't know what all is done to put on a 3 in BL but everything different that you need should come with the JKS or whatever lift you decide to buy.|

take it out and replace it with the 1.25'' jks bl..
its a lot less noticeable and you'll get all the parts you'll need.. since you bought it like that , i would assume you'd have to get all the stock bolts for it..
i would assume it would be just as hard and just as long as putting one on.. and thats only a couple of hours
as far as installation goes.. no idea do it yourself if your capable..

taking off a 3" body lift
How much trouble is it to take a 3" body lift off? I bought it used with the lift already on it. I don't have any parts to go back on it, what would it require? what is a ball park figure of cost if i took it somewher?
