RIPBiker13 I made my own front bumper, and rocker guards are next on my list. I was thinking about using something like 5" angle iron 1/4in thick. And adding some bars to it as well. I know that's a simple description, but I'm not sure what all to say about them.

I'm lucky, I have one just a block up the street from the house. If I can get in there this week I'll see what they have and get you some stock numbers.

NalinMFG i have some iron laying around my garage and was thinking about doing the same thing. this may be a dumb question, but how do you go about(what kind of bit) getting counter sunk holes? for that matter where can you get stainless steel countersunk hardware? i know alot of the companies use them but i can find em anywhere?! i think im guna go to and get their prebent steps so make my life a little easier as well. thanks

GrnTJ I made some for myself from 1/4" angle iron thats 4x4. Used a cutting torch and cut one entire length down to 2" (bottom side) to clearence bolts. I drilled about 16 holes I think it was all down the rocker. Matched up and drilled the angle iron. Then bolted it all up with 3/4" and 1/2" bolts. Im going to weld a side step on to them later but for now Ive got some very solid protection. I'll get you pics this weekend.

4bangertj i know how to weld but the BIG problem standin in my way i guess is i dont have a very good welder, its just an el cheapo from harbour frieght tools. i was more less curious on how to fasten it. i was thinkin just really heavy self tappers to go into the floor pan support?

TeeJay If you know how to weld you should bust into some angle Iron and go to town. Myself, I am useless with a welder, so I got the rubicon ones from the dealership.
